Any fashion person will tell you that Fashion Week is the most important time of the year—period. People from all over the globe flock to NYC every February for an extra dose of fashion, luxury, and trends. As you can imagine, preparation for this week's nonstop excitement includes much more than a stylish outfit, so I tapped my favorite content creator, Isabel Tan, to give me the inside scoop.

When I think of NYC's It girls, Tan immediately comes to mind. You can find her strolling through the streets of SoHo in a chic outfit, applying the perfect makeup look, or showing us the best products to buy. Tan is headed to all of Fashion Week's festivities, but not without Viktor&Rolf's Flowerbomb Eau de Parfum ($142). This ultra-delicate and sensual fragrance is the exact confidence boost we all need for a special time like this. Celeb loved, editor approved, and internet famous, Flowerbomb is known for its warm and floral scent with key notes of jasmine, orange blossom, and patchouli. In short, Tan can expect compliments on her delicious scent (and her killer outfits, of course). Before you rush to buy a bottle for yourself, let's go behind the scenes of New York Fashion Week with Tan.

You might think of spritzing your favorite fragrance as the last step in your routine, but Tan can't help but spray a bit of Flowerbomb before getting fully dressed for the day. "It smells like somebody surprised you by filling your bedroom up with your favorite flowers. It's romantic, elegant, and smells so delicious," she says. Who wouldn't want to wake up and immediately start their day with this luxe scent? "It makes me feel connected to my feminine energy: warm yet powerful," Isabel says. This is the exact kind of energy that she'll continue to radiate during NYFW's special lineup of press previews, glamorous dinners, and runway shows.

Tan is used to making just about every corner of NYC her own personal runway, so I'm not surprised by the ultra-chic look she pulled together. "I wanted to style my coat [in a way that was] masculine but sexy at the same time, which was how I felt. Fragrances are an invisible part of an outfit. Flowerbomb was the perfect feminine, sexy, girly fragrance to balance my look out," she says. The dark hues are immediately balanced out by one quick spritz before jetting out the door to mix, mingle, and, of course, accept compliments.

"My favorite thing about Fashion Week, other than seeing the new collections on the runway, would be getting together with friends that I don't get to see often or that live in different cities," Tan says. After a long day of reunions, photos on the city streets, and the hustle and bustle of getting from one event to the next, another spritz of Flowerbomb is necessary. Although this scent is long-lasting, an extra spritz never hurts. Tan uses it as a reminder to relax in the midst of a hectic and exhilarating schedule. "NYFW has such a 'go, go, go' attitude. People tend to squeeze in as much as they can that week. The fragrance is kind of the opposite of that and a little reminder to take time for myself," she says.

NYFW can be described in three words: on the go. But anyone participating in the festivities will agree that preparedness goes a long way. "I always have my lip gloss, lip liner, hand lotion, Flowerbomb, of course, and a snack bar just in case I don't have time for lunch since the schedule is usually back to back," Tan says. She has nothing but the essentials in her stylish bag, and that's the way to do it.
