Trust Me—Buy These 23 Things
Trust Me—Buy This is a monthly series where our market editor, Nicole Eshaghpour, makes her favorite real-life fashion finds shoppable for Who What Wear readers.
In case you’re new to this, today I’ll be rounding up my favorite items of the moment but with more of a personal spin than your usual shopping story. These special selects are the pieces I’ve been loving not only online, but IRL too. With a little help from my shopping-focused Instagram account, @trustmebuythis, where I share my own snaps of items I’m into at the moment, I get to both show and tell you what I’m really wearing this month. Common themes to expect? Jackets, boots, jeans, jewelry—just some of the things I hoard—and, of course, a mix of high-end investment pieces and budget-friendly steals I think you’ll love. Simply scroll down to see and shop my picks.

This cardigan just might be my favorite piece in this roundup and the best thing I’ve bought all year. It’s so easy to wear but makes a big statement.

There’s a lot going on here, so let me take it one thing at a time. This puffer was one of my big winter investments, and I’m very happy about it because the animal-print trend shows no signs of slowing down. I’m wearing it here with my new go-to cardigan for everyday use, some comfortable and cool jeans by Closed, and my go-to Paige boots, which you’ve likely seen before.

I get so many questions about this cell phone case, so I thought it was time to share. I customized it at The Daily Edited store in NYC, but you can also get one on the website for most phones and in a ton of cool colors and font styles.

My above attempt at business casual involves my go-to black blazer and these new lightweight statement earrings by Mounser.

I'd wanted Donni's fleece for a while, and now that it's finally mine, I can say it was worth the wait. It's super warm but lightweight enough to wear under a winter jacket, and every time I put it on, I get so many compliments. The jeans are my new black denim go-to from J Brand. I wear them to work all the time but get even more use out of them for nights out.

After wanting one of Bienen Davis’s evening bags for a while, I finally pulled the trigger when I saw the above leopard-print one. Unsurprisingly, it's sold out, but it's still available in other prints and materials, such as the below style and one in velvet. The coolest thing about it is that you can actually take the inner clutch out and use it on its own, should you need a subtler bag.

I wear these boots a lot, and not just a lot for printed python boots, but a lot for any shoes. They're so comfortable for having a slight heel and, surprisingly, go with everything since the pattern is pretty muted in terms of color.

At the time of taking this photo, I was still on the fence about whether or not to splurge on the jacket, but now that it's on sale, I'm a lot closer to buying it. I loved the boxy cut, and the material is a lot thicker and sturdier in person than I thought from seeing it in photos.

I think every girl in NYC has either worn or bought a Super Puff from Aritzia in the last few weeks. It's one of not many jackets that's actually warm but still cool, and it comes in so many colors that there's something for everyone. Here, I'm wearing it with the python boots you already saw, my old and trusty Puzzle bag, and one of my favorite pairs of jeans right now.

This recent snap shows my co-worker and deskmate Lauren and I her new Zara cardigan and my new Urban Outfitters fleece, respectively. We fully endorse both, and I just might have to buy hers soon. The cardigan has these fun heart-shaped buttons, and the fleece is so warm and cozy.

I’ve been wearing these Dr. Martens nonstop since I got them because they’re comfortable, durable, and a little extra tall. Plus, they go with everything and are pretty cool, no?

Call me biased, but I’m kind of obsessed with our recent jewelry collaboration with Tacori. As you could have guessed, I’m especially fond of this colorful necklace, which adds some vibrancy to my daily layering situation. Plus, it’s solid gold, so I don’t need to take it off to shower. In this photo, I’m actually on vacation in Miami wearing it with my Sleeper lounge set. Mine is from a few years ago, but thankfully it’s still made in new colors.

Last, but certainly not least, are my two shiniest wardrobe additions as of late. First, is this rain jacket by the aptly named brand Rains. It’s perfect for wearing over any other jacket thanks to its clear construction and roomy fit. It also happens to be on sale right now! Here, I’m wearing it over denim on denim and with these perfect embossed boots from Freda Salvador. If you’re looking for non-boring black boots that have the perfect day-or-night heel height, these are them.
