Emma Roberts Found the Cutest $55 Dress on All of Nordstrom

Maybe it's because I live in L.A., but I'm always a tad confused on how to style tights. They're a winter essential that can be slightly tricky to pull off considering they're particularly difficult to style with certain shoes or hemline lengths. But leave it to Emma Roberts to come up with the chicest, can't-go-wrong way to wear tights—and on a budget, no less.

In a new Instagram post promoting her Belletrist book club, Roberts wore arguably the cutest dress that Nordstrom has in stock right now: the Topshop Belted Pinafore Dress ($55). She smartly made it winter-appropriate with a mock-neck Splendid sweater; opaque tights; and By Far Becca Leather Ankle Boots ($540). Take note: A sleeveless, A-line minidress is the perfect thing to wear with tights and boots. Even better if the dress is under $60 like Roberts's. Associate Director, Fashion News

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 13 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
