Emily Ratajkowski Just Wore the Easy Uniform That Every French Girl Loves
It's hard to argue that the French know what they're doing in terms of style. Classic and effortless, the well-known French-girl aesthetic is an unbeatable one. So it didn't surprise us too much when Emily Ratajkowski was spotted in New York City wearing one of Paris's most prevalent uniforms.
During a stroll through NYC's Tribeca neighborhood with her son Sylvester Apollo Bear, the supermodel and author of My Body wore the ultimate French-girl ensemble: a white T-shirt, a leather blazer, straight-leg vintage-wash jeans, and black boots. Making the look even more Parisian, she added a matte, red lip and tiny gold hoops. Minimal, cool, and ridiculously easy to mimic, EmRata's look was an obvious win.
To re-create the ensemble that Ratajkowski and countless Parisians frequent, you just need the four wardrobe staples ahead. And don't worry about finding them. We did that work for you.

Step 1: White T-Shirt
No matter where you're going, if you put a blazer on top of a T-shirt and pair them with vintage jeans, you're going to be the best dressed one in the room. That's a fact.
Shop white T-shirts:
Step 2: Leather Blazer
A leather jacket has always been a great topper for those few months when it's too warm for a full-on coat and too cold for just a T-shirt. Making said jacket into a blazer just classes it up a bit.
Shop leather blazers:
This is vegan leather, but you'd never know it upon feeling it.
Step 3: Straight-Leg Jeans
Though low-rise, baggy, and bootcut jeans are all anyone's talking about right now, the key to mastering the French fashion mindset is to ignore trends. Perhaps that's why everyone in Paris frequents always-in-style straight-leg denim.
Shop straight-leg jeans:
Step 4: Black Boots
If you're ever on the fence about what footwear is worth investing in, black ankle boots are a safe bet. They're reliable and versatile, so you really can't beat them.
