I Swore I Wouldn't Buy Anything New for Fall—7 Outfits With Stuff I Already Own
In anticipation of fall this year, I made a commitment to maximize everything I already have in my wardrobe. My goal is to shop my closet this season in an effort to reduce any unnecessary shopping. It helps that I am very much a fall person through and through—my closet is already filled with almost every fall essential you can think of. This, thankfully, makes the challenge easier to pull off.
To prepare, I’ve been going through some of the fall-ready looks I have been saving on Instagram that include pieces I already own. I kept my eye out for a range of outfit ideas covering every occasion whether super casual or more elevated. I also made note of how easy it would be to mix and match the pieces so as to create a capsule collection of sorts. Keep scrolling to see the seven outfits that made the cut plus the corresponding pieces you may need to round out your own closet this fall.
Sylvie mastered a head-to-toe fall look with the help of elevated basics.
Monikh shares my love for oversize button-down shirts worn with denim.
Tanice and I are on the same wavelength when it comes to mixing leggings with a cozy cardigan and trendy clogs.
Maja is brilliant at mixing and matching minimalist oversize pieces.
This laid-back yet chic look from Camille is great for lazy weekends.
TyLynn's outfit is classic combo with a simple sweater, straight-leg jeans, and ballet flats.
This outfit from Lucy is the epitome of cool-girl style this season. The look can easily be worn to a variety of occasions—just swap the shoes if it's something formal.
