The Key Piece That Looks Good on All Ages

While you can 100% wear whatever you feel comfortable in no matter if you're 25 or 65 years old, there are certain items that may feel better-suited for people of specific ages. Think about it. Chances are you're not wearing the same items you wore at 40 as you were at 20. But then again, there are universally appropriate trends that work at any age—black boots, knee-length skirts, and now, thanks to designers like Proenza Schouler and Ellery's spring collections, cut-out shoulder tops.

During a recent meeting with Sarah Rutson, VP of global buying at Net-a-Porter, Rutson confirmed that the cold-shoulder trend is incredibly flattering for all women because everyone's shoulders look great. It's so true—what a beautiful part of the body to show off.

Below, we're showcasing a variety of ways to wear the trend.
