6 Accessories That Will Be Huge News in Six Months' Time

From styling to accessories, fashion week acts as a crystal ball of sorts, providing insight into the looks and trends we will all be coveting in the future. Whether it be a new It bag, a pair of designer shoes or a particularly notable pair of tights, products that gain the most traction on the runways are usually the same items that accrue waiting lists and sellout status six months down the line.

As global fashion weeks across New York, London, Milan and Paris have just finished, we thought now would be a good time to hedge our bets and start making some predictions about the accessories that are destined for cult status in the coming months. After attending numerous shows, scrolling through hundreds of images and gauging the reactions of industry tastemakers online, I've come up with a curated list of the items which I believe will be key investments for next season and beyond.

From Chanel's oh-so-cool logo tights to Gucci's reimagined Jackie bag and Ganni's outfit-enhancing detachable collar, these are the six accessories I think will be huge news in six months' time.

Chanel Logo Tights

Yes, Chanel's logo leggings are currently having a moment (seen on both Camille Charriere and Leandra Medine during fashion week), and we predict that in six months' time, this theme will be continuing with Chanel branded tights. Last week, during the brand's Paris Fashion Week show, models walked the runway in interlocking CC emblazoned tights, which we can only imagine will become a street style must-have as soon as they're released.

Bottega Veneta Fringe Clutch

Bottega Veneta's Daniel Lee certainly has the magic touch when it comes to accessories, as his pouch bag and square-toe sandals have been omnipresent since their launch. Looking ahead, it seems Bottega is putting its bets on fringing for 2020, as the latest runway show introduced the world to a woven fringe clutch, which we assume will be just as popular as the brand's previous accessories.

Prada Belts

A logo belt might just be the ultimate street style mainstay. It's a simple accessory that has the ability to transform an entire outfit. Debuted on the A/W 20 runway, Prada's new belts feature oversize branded buckles that make a statement while cinching the waist.

Gucci Jackie Bag

Named as an homage to Jackie Kennedy in the 1960s, the Gucci Jackie bag is set to have a resurgence this year after Alessandro Michele debuted a reimagined version of the item on the brand's latest runway. Created in a series of candy colours—including pale blue and bubblegum pink—the bag is set to be high on the lust list of many It girls and influencers.

Ganni Detachable Collar

Ganni's frill-collar blouse has been extremely popular amongst the fashion set this season. For A/W 20, the brand has taken it one step further, creating a detachable collar that ties at the front, which can be interchanged and worn over multiple outfits. I already know a few people with this accessory on their shopping list.

Dior Headscarf

Scarves were one of the trends we noticed taking over street style this season, but it seems the look has trickled into runway styling too. Dior sent models down the catwalk wearing scarves in a series of prints, including the brand's instantly recognizable monogram.
