6 Winter Trends From Zara I'm Buying to Replace the "Dated" Ones in My Closet
Like many others, I turn to Zara when I want to shop for trends but don't want to spend a lot. I've been blown away by how many winter trends Zara has fully embraced this season, and I'm newly inspired to fill my cart. But before any new trends arrive at my doorstep, I need to weed some items out.
When I say a trend is "dated," it just means that I'm seeing it less and that there are fresher options on the market. That doesn't mean said dated trend should never be worn now and won't come back around. They're just not the most of-the-moment pieces right now. If you, too, are looking to freshen up your winter wardrobe with the latest styles, I'm here to help. I found six popular trends that Zara is doing really well. Keep scrolling to shop them for yourself and find out what I'm removing from my closet to make room.
Replacing Kelly Green With Olive Green
You might recall that kelly green was *the* It color a few years back. I'm sure that history will repeat itself, but for now, I'm seeing a lot more of the muted olive green. It's the perfect neutral hue for winter.

Replacing Bell Sleeves With Peplum
Bell sleeves were once everywhere, and I still see them here and there, but I wouldn't call it a trend at the moment. Peplums, on the other hand, are still having a major moment since they made a comeback over the past couple of seasons.
Replacing Graphic Herringbone With Leopard
Herringbone is undoubtedly a classic print, but the graphic '80s-inspired herringbone has faded for now. This season, it's all about leopard-print everything, and Zara is very much on board.
Replacing Tread-Sole Boots With Kitten-Heel Boots
You're obviously going to want tread-sole boots for wintery weather, but a couple of winters ago, they were all anyone was wearing. Now, people are leaning toward more elegant styles, such as kitten-heel boots.
Replacing Vinyl Outerwear With Faux Fur
In the past, PVC outerwear (think trench coats) has been a favorite among the fashion crowd. Now, they're taking a pause and reaching for faux fur more often than not, and Zara has plenty to choose from.
Replacing Rhinestones With Sequins
This time of year especially, people are shopping for sparkly items to wear throughout the holiday season. Instead of rhinestone-embellished pieces, which can look a bit cheap, I've come across tons of chic sequined pieces at Zara. Consider your holiday party outfits found.
