These 7 Parisian Outfits Have Me Seconds Away From Booking a Flight
I am a huge daydreamer. People often catch me staring into space and wonder where I've gone off to. Well, lately, it's been a taxi ride to the airport to catch the next flight to Paris. Something about that magical city has a hold on me: The architecture, the boulangeries, and, most importantly, the effortless look that the women there have. It feels like the perfect place to get lost and rediscover both yourself and your sense of style.
It's been a few years since my last trip to the fashion capital, so I've been saving all of the inspiration that I can from the girls who have taken snaps of my favourite Parisienne outfits. Curiosity got the best of me, as always, so I decided to bring Paris straight to your web browser to get the inspo and insights that come with a trip to France without having to leave the house. A quick chat with my favourite content creators who have either recently visited or are currently living in Paris to find out what they've learned from the city about French fashion was long overdue.
Read on to discover the Paris outfits that I've fallen in love with and what the women who wore them have learned from their time in the city.

"Parisians dress effortlessly chic, cool, and yet individually! The following five (French girl) style tips helped me to refine my own style: Minimalism is key, accessories are everything, switch things up with unexpected twists every now, and then experiment with more masculine pieces. And invest in the basics for a timeless Parisian wardrobe."
What is your favourite outfit that you've worn in Paris?
"A denim-on-denim outfit combined with timeless, edgy combat boots. The highlight is a cute, yellow shoulder bag. Et voilà—a very basic outfit with a twist. Perfect for hanging out in the fashion district, Le Marais, and for having a coffee at the iconic La Perle."
What piece can you not travel to Paris without?
"There's one must-have I'm currently wearing 24/7: a trench coat. It is a perfectly timeless, elegant, yet some sort of edgy piece."

Leather weather has arrived, so of course, I'm packing this coat.

"I usually visit Paris in the fall, so if there's one thing I always notice when I'm there, it's the power of outerwear and a nice pair of shoes. A tailored coat and a nice, clean pair of shoes will dress up any look, and it almost doesn't matter whatever else you're wearing when your shoe and coat game is on lock!"
What is your favourite outfit that you've worn in Paris?
"I'm super fortunate to work with brands during Fashion Week to pull looks from their showroom for shows, but this look was 100% from my own closet! An oversize blazer, slip dress, and statement boots for Chanel day. So simple, so comfortable, and still so chic."
What piece can you not travel to Paris without?
"A good oversize blazer! They dress up jeans and a tee and can double as a coat over eveningwear too. I have way too many blazers to count, so I always go through my closet, pick my latest favourites and add them to my packing list!"
Shop blazers:
Laberiane Ponton

"I learned that sometimes in fashion, less is more. A simple touch of lipstick or a good perfume can be enough to feel dressed and full of assurance walking in the streets of Paris. It can give you that effortless Parisian style."
What is your favourite outfit that you've worn in Paris?
"As I live in Paris, the choice seems difficult, but I would say the look I wore in the Tuileries while drinking my favorite iced matcha. In the picture, you can see me wearing a pair of 501 jeans, a cool tank top, white trainers, and my green Prada bag. It's straight to the point, but it works for me. I like to go crazy sometimes, and I'm so in love with the jumpsuit I wore the other night. Looking forward to wearing it again in daylight."
What piece can you not travel to Paris without?
"It depends on the season, of course, but maybe a pair of jeans. It's easy and comfortable and can be worn in many ways and for different occasions if you twist it."

What is your favourite outfit you've worn in Paris?
"The black dress with the bow was definitely my favourite outfit. I planned it weeks ahead and could not wait for it to have its moment."
What piece can you not travel to Paris without?
"I think the black blazer is a must-have piece while you are in Paris, especially in fall. It is a staple Parisian piece that will never go out of style."

Melodie Bance

"Curiously, living in Paris taught me a lot about vintage clothing! Parisian style is a lot about timeless designs, so sourcing them secondhand is always a good way to find beautiful and unique items to cherish forever."
What is your favourite outfit that you've worn in Paris?
"Embracing Parisian fashion means you get to wear jeans a lot! I would say that my favourite outfit consists of vintage Levi's jeans, a pretty blouse, a blazer, a basket, and a pair of leather boots. It's an easy combination of items that you can create and recreate indefinitely (a bit like a capsule wardrobe, really)."
What piece can you not travel to Paris without?
"My number one would definitely be a good pair of high-waisted jeans. Everyone wears blue jeans here because they're so versatile. But since I already mentioned jeans, I'll add another item: a mid-length dress, preferably with a slit (to show off those legs!) with a nice vintage pattern on it. Feminine and sensual, but not over the top."
