I Live in the South—Here's Everything I'm Buying for Fall
This is Style in the South, a series in which our Southern-based editor, Allyson Payer, shares her insight into the trends and shopping habits that Southern girls follow (and don't follow). She'll also share her personal experience with relearning how to dress in the South after more than a decade away. Whether you live in the South, are visiting, or are just curious, she's here to offer you her Who What Wear perspective about all things Southern girl.
It's not uncommon for people to think that the South is devoid of seasons. To the contrary, especially in North Carolina where I live, the seasons are quite distinct. Fall, in particular, can be long and unpredictable weather-wise. In case you want to join me, scroll on to shop everything I'm buying for fall this year, from outerwear to footwear.

I don't know what I'm waiting for, but I've had my eye on these jeans for months.
I usually avoid It sneakers, but these won me over.

Summer can go ahead and end if it means I get to wear this cozy jacket.
Loafers are my go-to flats in the fall, and this is the pair I'm already breaking in.
You'll soon find me wearing this with dresses, jeans, and my trusty leopard-print pants.
