I Never Thought I'd Wear Leggings as Pants Again—Until Now
What an opportune time for leggings to make a comeback, amirite? But really, we've seen slit-hem styles (both in the front and on the sides of leggings) bubbling up for a while now, and the trend seems to be at the point where even I—who probably hasn't worn leggings as pants in five or more years—am itching to hop on board. From celebs like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Gigi Hadid to the Instagram and street style stars we love, it's been all over my feed and now, in my cart, too.
They're even starting to take the place of jeans, and I can honestly say I haven't seen leggings look this chic and polished in years. Aside from that and the obvious from the comfort factor, however, one of the best things about this comeback is that whether you want to spend less than tens or hundreds of dollars, there's a pair for you. To see how the aforementioned ladies and more are wearing them and to shop all the best slit-hem leggings along the way, just keep scrolling.
This whole look is my dream vibe for spring.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is always ahead of the trend curve and, of course, is a fan of this one, too.

A chic belted blazer looks even better with split leggings and a pair of trendy thong heels.

Stick to the basics and you can never go wrong.
As a cofounder of Wardrobe.NYC, it's no surprise Christine Centenera is constantly seen in these leggings.
An office-appropriate way to style the trend.
When we spotted Gigi in the trend last month, we knew it was blowing up.
When the weather really warms up, you can swap in the white boots here for white strappy sandals.
I've already got the leggings and black blazer. Now, these bejeweled accessories are calling my name.

Next, six spring trends everyone will be wearing instead of jeans.
Since starting as an intern back in 2013, Nicole Akhtarzad Eshaghpour has held several roles here at Who What Wear, and she is currently Editor-at-Large. It was a less expected route, seeing as she was graduating from business school at USC when this all began, but it has turned out to be the best one for her. Fast-forward to 2024, and she's moved to NYC from her hometown of Beverly Hills and spends her workdays a little differently from when she was an intern starting out. Currently, she focuses on a weekly mélange of shopping content. As far as her personal style goes, she's largely drawn to classic pieces and neutral basics but will always make an exception for something colorful, printed, or bejeweled as long as it's deemed worthy enough. After all, the only thing she loves more than a good party is dressing up for one. On weekdays, she can usually be found at home eating something delicious for dinner and trying to force her husband to watch Summer House.
