The Easy 2-Piece Outfit Who What Wear Editors Swear By
If you spend any amount of time with the same people consistently, you're bound to start sharing each other's habits and mannerisms. This is especially true when it comes to the people you spend nearly every day with—your co-workers. Though the Who What Wear team is split between our L.A. and NYC offices, our editors still seem to be on the same wavelength about our shopping habits and, evidently, our outfits now, too. For a team that shares links to new brands on the daily and pulls inspiration from many of the same sources, it should come as no surprise that sometimes we even show up to work wearing the same things.
Case in point, we recently all had the same styling idea: to cinch the waist of a delicate slip dress with a cool metal chain belt. The two-piece outfit couldn't be any easier to execute, and as you'll see up ahead, each editor made her slip dress–and–chain belt outfit stand out in a distinctive way. Lauren went with a double-chain belt and silk minidress for an event while Nicole's version was layered with a white T-shirt, making it ideal to wear to work. It appears we're not the only ones with this styling idea for our slip dresses, either, as evidenced by all the fashion 'grams with a similar take.
To see how editors are styling the outfit versus the rest of the fashion crowd, simply keeping reading, and then shop the slip dresses and chain belts to get the look, too.
On Our Editors
I love how Nicole layered her floral slip over a white T-shirt, proving the outfit combo works for any hour of the day.
I toughened up my satin slip with the addition of sleek Western boots and a fun lime green bag.
Lauren's look is everything we'd want to wear for a night out. I imagine she just added a pair of strappy heels to finish it off.
