In March 2021, longtime friends and beloved Hollywood talents Julianne Hough and Nina Dobrev launched Fresh Vine Wine. A brand dedicated to creating holistic, premium wines for health-conscious individuals, Fresh Vine Wine was a dream for both Hough and Dobrev and a direct reflection of who they are. Produced and bottled in Napa, California—and available nationwide—the Fresh Vine Wine collection features Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Rosé, to enjoy life's precious moments through connection, laughter, and taste. Hough and Dobrev's friendship foundation stems from their passion for indulging in the joie de vivre of shared experiences; thus, Fresh Vine Wine captures that very essence.
Before becoming fully immersed in the wine industry, both Hough and Dobrev have had notable careers in the spotlight. Hough is the ultimate multi-hyphenate; she is an actress, dancer, singer, producer, and Emmy Award-winning choreographer. She was a two-time professional champion on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" before making a transition to award-winning recording artist and accomplished actress in movies like "Safe Haven" and "Footloose." She's also the founder of her own production company, Canary House Productions, and founded a fitness platform KINRGY, which aims to focus your mind and sculpt your body to empower the mind-body connection. Dobrev is also a triple threat; she is an actress, writer, and producer who most recently wrapped production on the Netflix romantic comedy Love Hard and the Indie comedy Sick Girl, where she plays significant roles as both the star and executive producer. In addition, she spent six seasons starring in the highly successful CW drama The Vampire Diaries, and before that role, she held a lead role on Degrassi: The Next Generation—and impressively, those are just a few of the projects in tv and film she has worked on.
Together, Hough and Dobrev have combined their past multifaceted careers and love for enjoying life to the fullest—with a glass of wine in hand, of course—to create a brand that helps others enjoy life, too.Tune in to the latest episode of Second Life to hear why Hough and Dobrev decided to start a holistic wine brand and all of the career moments—and pivots—that led them to it.
