These Are Officially Britain's Most Popular Bras
When it comes to finding the perfect bra, I'm always at a loss. Of course, my 32G size presents its own set of problems but, those aside, the fact that there are literally thousands of styles to choose from makes it an increasingly daunting endeavour. Which is why I decided to take matters into my own hands.
Chloe Plumstead wears a Marie Jo set.
Having never truly explored different undergarment outfitters, I took it upon myself to reach out to various brands to find out—directly from the source—what their most popular bras are. I was surprised to learn that all of their respective best sellers have one of the following things in common: They're either lacy and sultry or, conversely, practical T-shirt bras. It's also clear that most of the top styles are black in tone, followed by red and beige.
Liv Blankson wears a Sloggi triangle bra.
What is it, however, that makes these bras so special? The buyers have their own theories but it's clear that us women want to have the right bra for the right day, though I reckon many of what you're about to be used in multiple outfits and for multiple purposes.

LOVE STORIES
Love Stories is on a mission to prettify our lingerie drawers, and it appears we're on board, as its best-sellers always feature a gorgeous print. The Darling Bralette proves increasingly popular, thanks to its soft cups and structured band which offers extra support.
JOHN LEWIS & PARTNERS
Up +38% year on year, John Lewis & Partners's Eleanor T-shirt bra has become an everyday staple for many women. When you know, you know.
SIMPLY BE
It's hard to find fault with Simply Be's Katie bra. Not only is it brilliant value for money, but it also goes up to a size 44G, meaning it caters to more women than many other styles.

ASOS
ASOS has seen its Roxy bralette surge in popularity in both black and red colourways, and we think it's due to its versatility. The longline silhouette can be more comfortable on your waist, plus it doubles up as a party top, right?
WONDERBRA
Not only is Wonderbra's Ultimate Strapless the brand's best-selling, but it's also the most in-demand bra in Britain. Available in classic black and nude, Wonderbra has also created this cream lace iteration as part of its Refined Glamour collection—just in time for party season.
HARVEY NICHOLS
Harvey Nichols stocks so many underwear options, but it's Wacoal's Embrace bra that customers can't get enough of. Harvey Nichol's buyers have revealed to Who What Wear UK that they're constantly having to reorder it and attribute its success to the bra's extremely flattering shape, comfortable fit and sweet price point.
ELOMI
Elomi's standout bras always go down a treat, but none have enjoyed the same success as the Tori style. The nude-and-black bra has proven a hit thanks to its statement strap detail complete with a mesh rose crest.
LA PERLA
La Perla only launched its Exotique lace bra earlier this year, but it's already one of the brand's most-popular styles to date.
FREYA
Freya first introduced its Soiree bra in black and white, however, the red incarnation is proving even more popular with its customers—especially in the run-up to the festive period.
LINDEX
Born in Sweden, Lindex is the top lingerie brand in its home country, and us Brits are fast-becoming fans, too. While it offers a plethora of vampy options, as well as triangle styles, it's Lindex's Love T-shirt bra we can't get enough of. So much so, it sells 200 of them a day.
NET-A-PORTER
Considering the beautiful undergarments it has to offer, we were surprised to learn that all of Net-a-Porter's most popular bras put function over aesthetic. Countless of Fashion Forms's designs top its best-sellers list, including this stick-on style.
WACOAL
Having cinched Harvey Nichols's top bra spot, we reached out to Wacoal to see what its best-selling style is. Conversely, it's the Lace Perfection style, which offers more support than the Embrace design, but thanks to the decadent use of lace, it feels just as luxe.
