LaQuan Smith Made a Version of a Catsuit You Can Actually Wear

LaQuan Smith's capsule collection at Revolve

Unless you're Serena Williams, chances are you find it hard to pull off a catsuit. Well, NYC-based designer LaQuan Smith has a solution. In February, Smith debuted sheer catsuits during his runway show at NYFW. Now, the designer, who counts Beyoncé and Rihanna among his fans, has launched a capsule collection for Revolve that features catsuit-inspired bike shorts.

"[The bike shorts are] a rendition of the catsuit I just debuted during my fall 2020 runway show this past February," Smith told Who What Wear. "I edited it so the girls could take that daring look and make it more transitional for day and night." Smith also told us about his design process for the other items in the eight-piece capsule. "The pieces were inspired by nightlife and summer fun festivities," he told us. "The capsule has an array of my favorite pieces from past collections, edited to make sense if she is withstanding all-day partying in the summer heat. I wanted something cool and unapologetically sexy that she would be noticed in." Scroll down to shop LaQuan Smith's new capsule collection.

The exposed-hip trend is still kicking.

More From the Brand

I can never resist a good velvet dress.

Yep, I'd wear this with high-rise jeans as well.

Like clockwork, plaid always comes back into style for fall.

Laquan collaborated with Jordache on this sleek dress.

It's all about the thigh-high slit here.
