All of Kate Middleton's December Outfits Revolve Around This Color Palette
In a recent episode of the Vogue U.S. video series Go Ask Anna, famed Editor in Chief Anna Wintour was asked which celebrity was best to turn to for holiday style inspiration. Wintour answered immediately that it should be Kate Middleton.
The Vogue editor-in-chief explained, "The Duchess of Cambridge always looks impeccable,” and noted that much of the appeal of Middleton’s aesthetic is that she always opts for styles that are "a little more classic and have a heritage feeling.”
Wintour could not be more accurate in this description, as we’ve also noticed that Duchess Kate adheres to a very specific style when it comes to the festive season. Whether attending a church service or reception at Buckingham Palace, throughout December it seems that Middleton often sticks to the very Christmassy color palette of red and green.
Last night was just one such example, as Middleton arrived at the Queen’s NATO Leaders Reception in a bright green dress by British designer Emilia Wickstead.
Of course, this is not the first time Middleton has dressed to the festive theme for a December event. Last year, the Duchess of Cambridge wore a red tartan skirt while hosting a Christmas party for military personnel, and the year before that she opted for a red and green coat for a Christmas Day church service in Sandringham in the UK.
The duchess is nothing if not a traditionalist. Keep scrolling for more examples of Middleton wearing the Christmassy color palette, as well as a few options to emulate her look.
