The Shoes I've Worn for 5 Summers Straight
Here’s the thing: I don’t really like flip-flops. I know there are going to be fans out there, but I’m just not one of them. Years ago, I even cleared every pair of flip-flops I owned out of my closet in a spring-cleaning frenzy (Marie Kondo would have been proud) but realized I didn’t really have any other shoes that worked with my summer outfits. That is until I looked for an alternative and bought a pair of espadrilles, which led me to the discovery of my new favorite summer shoes.
And now, I’ve been wearing espadrilles for five summers straight. In my opinion, they’re the perfect thing to throw in a suitcase because they pair so easily with printed sundresses and denim cutoff shorts and any number of summer outfits. The best part is that my favorite style rings in at just $65. And no, I’m not missing those flip-flops one bit. Here, shop my go-to pair of espadrilles as well as my curated collection of styles to wear this summer.
In my opinion, espadrilles are the perfect summer wardrobe staple—especially when paired with a fun sundress.
