I Just Got Back From Greece—These Are the Fashion Trends I Wore Everywhere
After spending time island-hopping in Greece, a fashion editor is sharing the effortless outfits that proved both stylish and practical for Mediterranean summer dressing.
If you know me, you know I'm all about manifestation. Almost two years ago, I wrote an article titled "My 2025 Goal Is to Go to Greece." It took time, but I'm happy to report that that dream has finally come to fruition, and this is the kind of trip that makes you rethink your entire summer wardrobe. The outfits that I'd typically wear in New York City weren't coming with me. I was on the hunt for dreamy pieces that would blend in well with whitewashed villages and golden-hour sunsets. Every outfit had to be worth snapping a picture of and, of course, end up being on theme as well.
Mango hosted an event called Slow Summer, where guests celebrated its pop-up in Hydra wearing the best pieces from its summer collection, and the experience was magical. It's worth noting that I packed a few additional outfits for this trip, yet my favorite outfits were all from Mango, with each piece being under $100. Below, allow me to share every outfit I wore and a few more details about the trip worth noting.
Where to Stay
I had the chance to visit several incredible hotels during my trip, but one lingered in my mind long after I checked out. From the moment I checked into Cali Mykonos, I felt like I could truly relax. Tucked away from the tourist-heavy, busy arts of the island, this hotel struck the perfect balance between understated luxury and effortless Greek charm. The service was incredible, I couldn't feel safer, and every amenity was top-tier. I'm still getting questions about the videos and photos I posted of its wellness center. If I had to recommend just one hotel from my time in Greece, this would be it.
Where to Dine
The Mango team spent weeks on end researching the best places to dine, and I also did some exploration myself, so I have to share my findings. Upon arrival in Hydra, we slipped off to Xeri Elia for a fresh seafood meal outdoors, and it's a meal I am still thinking about a few weeks later. A coffee at Oven made me want to come back again and again for more. (There are locations in both Athens and Mykonos.) I stumbled across Roka Mykonos, which just opened in the new Fouquet's Mykonos, and had the perfect sushi dinner. I'll long remember Linou Soumpasis & Co for an incredible meal overlooking the water.
'80s Vibe
I wanted to make a statement with my final look on the work part of the trip, and that's exactly what I did. If you ever think your outfit is too much, you just might be onto something. Keep going in that direction.
Classic Red Dress
A perfect vacation dress is equal parts effortless and glam. I found this red dress so incredible that I wore it twice—once for my work dinner in Athens and then again for a solo meal in Mykonos.
Crochet Set
When I first encountered this crochet set, I immediately couldn't stop thinking about it. The colorway was perfect, but I didn't really have anything to wear it to, as I live in New York. My takeaway is this: When you love something but don't have plans that involve it, buy it anyway. The occasion will find you.
The Ideal One-Piece
Jennifer Lopez wearing this swimsuit was enough to convince me of how incredible it is. It really might be the most flattering thing I've ever worn.
Lace on Lace
Right now in the fashion world, satin dresses, tops, and skirts are winning in every way, shape, and form. Wearing two satin pieces at once is the way to go.
Earthy Swimsuit
The beach in Hydra was casual, and I only had less than an hour to enjoy it, so I threw on this look in seconds and headed out the door. This bikini is so flattering, and a white poplin skirt will always be my favorite thing to style it with.
Layered Dress
I needed a truly effortless outfit to explore the city in upon my arrival in Athens. Cue this easy dress that is only $40 right now.
