My aunt loves to shop. In her most extravagent years, she was known to splurge on investment pieces, from an Hermès bag to an extensive collection of designer shoes. Now that she's in her 40s and a mom, she's slowed down a bit. She still loves shopping, but she's on a budget these days and always has an eye out for a sale worth shopping. With the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale going on, she texted me and asked me to shop it for her.
As I put together a list, I was mindful of prices while also knowing she's incredibly stylish and has expensive taste. I'd describe her aesthetic as a little maximalist—unafraid of wearing bold colors and statement pieces. Wide-leg track pants and a beaded necklace feel very her. At the same time, I know she likes to get as much wear as possible out of everything she buys, so I made sure to include wardrobe staples, too.
I also had to send beauty options since she's always excited to try new things. The first thing that came to mind was Byredo, which is one of her go-to fragrance brands. I also think she'd love Roz's shampoo, Dr. Dennis Gross's peel pads, and Make Up For Ever's lip set.
