Fashion Editors Always Come Back to J.Crew for These 9 Expensive-Looking Basics
From the rollneck sweater to the Luna pants.
When I first got my J.Crew rollneck last fall, I didn't day it off for days straight… It's that good. Then several of my colleagues told me they also have one, including Eliza Huber, Bobby Schuessler, and Lauren Eggertsen. I'd go as far as to say it's the perfect sweater, and I like wearing it with capris and ballet flats.
I also have two other J.Crew sweaters I wear on repeat: a cardigan and high v-neck, both from the brand's dedicated cashmere section. While buying cashmere can be quite expensive, it's one of the places you can find it for under-$200.
Beyond these items, associate fashion editor Nikki Chwatt wrote about how the $98 J.Crew Luna pants "look identical to the pair every chic dresser wears instead of jeans," referencing Leset's Kyoto pants. It's all of these wardrobe staples that make the retailer a go-to amongst our editors.
