Trust Me—Buy These 20 Things
Trust Me—Buy This is a monthly series where our market editor Nicole Eshaghpour makes her favorite real-life fashion finds shoppable for Who What Wear readers.
Hello and, after a brief hiatus for the holidays, welcome back to my monthly Trust Me—Buy This roundup! In case you’re new here, today I’ll be sharing my favorite items of the moment with more of a personal spin than your usual shopping story. With a little help from my shopping-focused Instagram account, @trustmebuythis, where I post my own (mediocre) snaps of items I’m into at the moment, I get to both show and tell you what I’m really wearing every month. These special selects are the pieces I’ve been loving not only online but IRL too.
Seeing as we're knee-deep in winter, and the temperatures in NYC are indeed reflecting it, today you can expect your fair share of boots, jeans, and knits but also some special items that look ahead to spring and, as always, with my usual mix of price points and styles. Whether you're into simple or statement pieces, I can almost guarantee there's something for you below. Ready to see and shop some of the items I actually wore in the past month or so? Just keep scrolling to get started.

@trustmebuythisYou've likely already seen this Zara knit matching set on Instagram (it's been on my feed once a day for the past few weeks), so I won't tell you how great it is. Rather, I'll advise that if it's not available in your size, the way to get your hands on it is to add yourself to the waiting list via the website and buy it as soon as you're notified it's in stock!

Photo:
@trustmebuythisI've barely taken these (majorly marked-down) Stuart Weitzman boots off since I got them. They're just the perfect, simple-but-not-boring everyday ankle boots for pairing with any outfit.

@trustmebuythisBy the time you get to the end of this roundup, it will be clear that I don't wear a lot of color but will make exceptions for truly special pieces. This bag definitely falls into that category.

@trustmebuythisFor nearly all of the recent outings where I've been lucky enough to get to actually wear normal heels instead of boots—aka any time it's over 45º—I've been opting for these perfect (and comfortable) ankle-tie kitten heels from The Attico.

@trustmebuythisMeet my new favorite work bag and wear-everywhere knee boots. I spent a while looking for the perfect tote that fit my laptop but also felt more like a "fashion" purse, and this is definitely it. As for the boots, I was ready to accept that the return of knee boots just wasn't for this 5'2" editor, until I tried this pair and fell in love. They go with anything but more importantly are so sleek and flattering.

@trustmebuythisAnother Insta-famous item I happen to also love right now is this muscle tank from Frankie Shop, which actually just landed at Net-a-Porter but is probably on its way to selling out any minute. While it's been a bit too cold to wear it here in NYC, I got a lot of use out of it during my holiday trip to Miami.

@trustmebuythisLooking for the perfect square-toe, heeled, black ankle boots? So was I. At least, until I found this pair from Wandler.

@trustmebuythisWhat you can't tell from this photo (sorry) is that this isn't just a normal cardigan worn off the shoulders. Thanks to the genius of Alexander Wang, this going-out top (as I like to call it) actually has a semi-sheer mesh upper that gives the illusion that it's an off-the-shoulder cardigan without the stress of it falling off. Now, the bad news is that this exact style is old and sold out, but the good news is that the designer made a similar style for this season, and you can buy it below.

Photo:
@trustmebuythisI feel like this photo embodies all the basics people are always asking me to help them find—a good black top, a simple clutch, everyday jeans, casual black ankle boots. These really are the best-of if you ask me. You're welcome, shoppers!
