Yep, it's peak fall. By this time in the season, it's safe to say many of us (myself included) have landed on a uniform that we pretty much wear over and over again. For instance, mine is a cropped cardigan with jeans and a big blazer thrown on top when it gets extra cold (actually, I tend to wear jeans with some sort of basic top the majority of the year). Since I'm pretty sure I'm not the only denim addict in the house, I'm taking it upon myself to further inspire how you can keep wearing your favorite jeans in fresh new ways for fall, namely with a new lineup of fall shoes to wear with them.

Of all the glorious shoe trends fall 2020 is offering us, there are seven styles that happen to pair especially well with our classic blues. Whether you're in the market for a new pair of boots or are just curious to see which shoes we're recommending the most, here's our definitive guide to the fall shoes to wear with jeans. From cool chunky boots and polished loafers to sporty sneakers, there's something for everyone. Simply scroll down to discover and shop them all.

If black ankle boots and jeans are your fall outfit bread and butter, consider these your latest upgrade. They're practical, comfortable, and above all, look cool with basics like jeans and a tee. You really can't go wrong.

Get ready to time travel back several decades for this one. In the sneaker world, it's all about retro kicks that are equal parts sporty and stylish, and while you could wear these any number of ways, jeans are always a good bet.

I think this particular combo speaks for itself, but I'll add my two cents: Combat boots are a fall staple that I keep seeing year after year. They’re an easy way to instantly toughen up and outfit and add a cool, forward edge. When paired with jeans and a leather jacket, they’re the perfect weekend look.

Sometimes you just can't get any better than the classics and that's definitely the case with this eternal favorite: loafers and jeans. The flats are having more of a moment this fall with modern updates like chain embellishments and lug soles that make them a trendy pick as well as a classic one.

I'm dubbing these high rubber boots "bucket boots" because they have a wide shaft and a simple flat sole and remind me of stomping around in the mud. They might not be your first thought for the shoes to wear with jeans, but they add a trend-forward element to skinny jeans.

Flats people, rejoice! Ballet flats are getting a rather chic rebrand this fall with sharp square toes that make the perennial classic shoes feel completely fresh. Style them with just about any denim fit, from wide-leg as Michelle wore here to skinny and straight.

These may be last, but they're the most exciting pick, in my opinion. No matter your thoughts on them, all signs point to clogs making a return to the trend sphere and the comfy slip-ons are a cool vibe, especially when paired with loose and distressed denim. Throw on a chunky knit cardigan and you've got yourself the ultimate "cottagecore" look.
