29 Fall Shopping Finds You Have to See If Your Motto Is "Fewer But Better"
At the start of this year, I decided to seriously curb my impulsive purchases and actually save up for worthwhile wardrobe investments that will outlast trends and outsmart seasons. It's definitely easier said than done, but this season, I'm setting out to make my closet stronger and last much longer.
I know I'm not the only one feeling this way either. We're reaching a point in fashion where many of us are experiencing trend fatigue, and while I don't foresee trends ever ceasing to exist, I think the answer to this exhaustion is twofold: narrowing in on a personal style that isn't so easily swayed by fleeting trends and being a pickier shopper—a much pickier shopper. I'm focused on building a wardrobe that's timeless and trend agnostic and, most importantly, feels like me.
When it comes to shopping, I'm navigating things with a "fewer but better" mindset, and now that fall's new arrivals are finally hitting the market, I figured I'd share what I'm currently eyeing in case you, too, want to shop like me. With that, here are the 29 best fall investment buys for the season ahead. They're cool, they're classic, and they're designed to last.
Meet fall's hottest flats that Hailey Bieber is wearing on repeat.
I know it might be a little too early to be thinking about coats, but no matter how trends come and go, a luxe peacoat is one that will last you for years and years.
I haven't stopped thinking about this sweater since I saw it at the brand's fall preview months ago. The material is weighty but soft to the touch, but there's no doubt it's the neckline that steals the show. If you're looking for a wardrobe investment that's practical but doesn't skimp on cool, preordering this U-neck knit to arrive right as the weather cools off in October is a smart move.
Levi's won't be able to keep this new full-length version of its best-selling Ribcage jeans in stock for very long.
The embellished skirts from Prada's fall runway have finally arrived in stores and online, and I'm genuinely speechless at how beautiful they are.
A chic blazer that features a very fall '23 hourglass silhouette.
Oversize button-downs are always in my rotation, but this pastel striped version feels undeniably fresh.
From the runway to the market, these are the shoes that everyone in fashion is talking about right now.
A highly repeatable style from one of my favorite dress brands.
I'm convinced that my closet won't feel complete until this leather jacket resides in it.
I have cashmere sweaters that were passed down to me from my parents (and their parents), so the longevity of a classic knit like this should speak for itself.
I've already waxed poetic about the Prada Symbole sunglasses, but I simply can't get the classic, timeless shape off my mind.
I don't think a double-denim ensemble will ever go "out." Actually, I can guarantee it won't.
Éterne's top-notch basics are in my rotation year-round. I love the sleek simplicity of this maxi that can work with everything from slingbacks to Sambas.
Studded details are embellishing some of fall's coolest pieces, and these jeans just might be the easiest way to wear the micro-trend.
Did I just find *the* accessory trend of the season on sale? Why yes, yes I did.
Black knee boots should be a staple in every closet, but this slim heel and point-toe shape really take things to the next level.
The quirky accessory everyone in Europe is wearing. Next up, me.
