No Gatekeeping: I'm Telling Everyone About This Cozy Dress With Matching Socks
Winter dressing can be hard if you live somewhere that's not sunny all year round. Somehow, you have to find a way to make packing on warm fabrics look A) not bulky, and B) intentional, rather than purely practical. Luckily, my absolute favorite trend of the season successfully checks off both boxes—and then some. And as tempting as it might be to keep the fad all to myself, this is one sartorial secret that I can't hold in.
The trend in question is part of Who What Wear Collection's highly anticipated January drop and combines the softest dress styles—the Evelyne dress, which is made of the coziest bouclé yarn, and a wool, button-down alternative called the Shayna dress—with matching plush socks. The result? An ultra-comfy, warm, and style-forward look that'll have friends and strangers alike asking, "Where'd you get that?" Even better, because these dresses-and-socks duos are technically separates, they can be mixed and matched in any number of ways, making them all the more worth splurging on.

Shayna Dress + Snub Socks
The super-soft Shayna button-down dress is great on its own, but when it's paired with these knit, ribbed socks in the same luxe shade of brown, it exceeds even my wildest fashion dreams.

Evelyne Dress + Marl Socks in Fawn
Though I'm known to remain firmly inside an all-black-clothing comfort zone, something about this toasty, tan-colored maxi has me heading straight for the purchase button. Though it looks great with boots (as shown above), I can't wait to pair the Evelyne dress with its sister socks and a pair of platform clogs.

Evelyne Dress + Marl Socks in Coal
If you, like me, often steer more towards black items (especially this time of year), then this is the dresses-and-socks combo for you. But since this alternative is a bit more toned down than our Fawn color, I'd suggest pairing it with an eye-catching shoe that'll make the socks really pop.
