There are basics, and then there are stunning basics, and thanks to the newest Who What Wear Collection drop, you get the latter. Now, if you're in need of some simple turtlenecks and sleek trousers, we've got 'em, but what I am here to gush about today are five basics that are versatile, on-trend, and 100% worth the purchase. Basically, they are the basics of all basics and deserve their time in the spotlight here today.

But wait; there's more. Although I am calling out my personal five favorite new basics, the newest Who What Wear Collection drop is filled with many more. Below, you'll get a first peek at these stunning new products, modeled by our very own editors. There's no doubt in my mind that their styling will convince you to add many new pieces to your cart.

1. Knit Corset

This knit corset is the cool basic I didn't know I needed. The trend elements of the corset detailing make this feel so forward, but as far as versatility and comfort go, this is one of the best basics I've added to my closet in quite some time.

2. Cardigan & Skirt Set

Matching sets are always a good idea since they provide a foolproof outfit time and again. This lettuce-edge detailing and mossy color had me weak in the knees, but now that I've already worn my green set to death, it's time I invest in the gray as well.

3. Backless Dress

I've been on the hunt for a basic dress that packs a big punch, and this new backless number will do just the trick. From the front, it looks like a very expensive casual midi dress, but from the back, it looks like a party.

4. Thin Scoop-Neck Sweater

The thin nature of this sweater makes it 10 times more intriguing and also made me realize I don't own anything like it. While the black is an obvious choice as far as basics go, the green was a no-brainer as I was adding all my stunning new basics to my cart.

5. Drop-Waist Midi Dress

This dress is all about the details. From the sleek bodice to the perfectly cascading skirt, this is the kind of dress you'll wear and rewear for years.
