41 Perfect Winter Hits From Zara, COS and & Other Stories
At Who What Wear, we firmly believe that every item you buy should be viewed as an investment. It should be something that you love and that excites you, that you return to time and again because of the joy it brings. We also firmly believe that that statement doesn’t just apply to designer pieces. Thanks to the high street, there are plenty of elevated (and affordable) staples out there that are worthy of a place in your wardrobe.
There are some hight-street brands that continue to impress us season after season—& Other Stories, COS and Zara, to name a few—and each serve a different purpose. Zara is all about the trend-led pieces mixed with sleek, tailored separates as well as an ample offering of great coats, shoes and earrings. COS is my go-to for when I need a confidence boost. Beautiful quality but at a reasonable price point, its new-ins are always effortlessly chic and easy to wear. Last but not least is & Other Stories, which rules on knitwear and tailoring especially. The striped half-zips and wool oversized blazers are staples in every Who What Wear editor’s autumn wardrobe.
But with hundreds of new pieces landing online every week, it can be difficult to work out what’s a cut above the rest. That’s where I come in. As a self-proclaimed fussy shopper, I consider it a skill to be able to spot the hero pieces a mile off, so I scoured the new-in pages to bring you only the best of the best. Expect everything from relaxed tailoring to cosy knits and stylish boots to sensational sequins. Keep scrolling to discover my favourite new-in pieces, as well as some tips on how to style them.
1. & OTHER STORIES
There are no words to describe my love for striped knitwear, and this amazing turtle-neck style is sure to be a sellout. Wear with light-wash denim or over tailored trousers as above.
These low-waist trousers will work hard for you this season. Add a knit or an oversized shirt for a casual look or style with a bandeau top for a dinner or party.
Don't you think this looks so much more expensive than it is?
Invest in a down coat so you're ready to go when the temperature drops this week.
Dress a tailored trouser down with a knit and trainers or up with a pretty blouse or blazer.
A great coat you can wear to work, dinner, at the weekend and beyond.
How good does this look with white knee-highs? I'm sold.
A navy coat with add a Parisian touch to you winter wardrobe.
2. COS
Half-zip sweaters are going nowhere. Wear this chic grey style with denim or leather.
It's back! And this time in one of the colours of the season: Chocolate brown.
Another example of the brand's excellent tailoring offering. Try this deep camel shade if you're looking to avoid black this season.
Knitted dresses will work hard for you this winter. Wear with flats and a puffer coat the weekend or heeled boots and statement earrings in the evening.
A short puffer coat is a stylish but still warm alternative to a longline iteration.
Who can resist a gorgeous cashmere knit? I love the oversized shape of this one.
Leather trousers are just as essential as good denim in winter, and these barrel-leg trousers are a cool take on the style.
This modern taken on the classic striped knit has massively caught my eye.
The perfect party season blazer. Wear with the matching trousers and heels for a chic evening look.
3. ZARA
This satin dress is so gorgeous. Wear with a chunky knit, blazer or cardigan over the top.
Looking to invest in a new winter coat? This classic belted style is such a winner.
Everyone in the WWW office is in agreement: This sequin blouse is a winner.
Simple, but so effective. Wear this cream knit with dark wash denim and heeled ankle boots for a polished yet comfy look.

Poppy joined the Who What Wear UK team as managing editor in 2022. After graduating from university with a degree in English literature, she worked for a number of print and digital publications, including Women's Health, The Times, Hello! and Marie Claire. In these roles she assisted the fashion teams with print content as well as digital shopping features, shoots and celebrity news.
Prior to Who What Wear, Poppy worked at SheerLuxe as the commercial content manager. There she oversaw all paid-for site content and inclusions, managed the visual assets and briefs for branded content, and ensured all content—whether editorial or commercial—was in line with overall brand guidelines and tone. She also supported the editorial team by looking after visual merchandising on site and reviewing the brand’s daily newsletters.
As WWW UK’s managing editor, Poppy spends most of her time looking after the content calendar and all output across the brand, in addition to working with contributors, supporting with social media planning, assisting with branded content and contributing to brand strategy. Poppy prides herself on being organised, and a keen eye for detail means she oversees the production of tentpole moments such as Who What Wear’s quarterly celebrity covers, the Wedding Issue, team shoots, events, industry-facing moments, gift guides and more. In addition to this, Poppy ensures processes across the brand are efficient and effective, and is always on the lookout for ways the team can work smarter, not harder! As someone who works behind the scenes (Poppy loves a spreadsheet!), you won’t find many articles by Poppy on site, but when you do there’s no doubt they will either be focused on dresses, handbags or classic high-street buys. Or better yet, all three!
Born and raised in London, Poppy is a true city girl. When she's not thinking about clothes (or raiding her mum’s wardrobe), Poppy fills her time walking along the river with her 11-year-old labradoodle, getting stuck in a good book and enjoying as many of the city’s amazing restaurants and bars as her purse will allow! Her favourite London spots are Caravel for dinner, the Ham Yard Hotel for a fancy pre-theatre drink, Daunt Books for a new read, 26Grains for breakfast and Coal Drop's Yard for a spot of shopping.
