Bridgerton's New Lead Wore a Sheer Skirt and Thigh-High Tights on the Red Carpet

I don't know about you, but I've been looking forward to season two of Bridgerton since the minute I finished binging the first one back in December 2020. Now, my TV prayers have been answered and the new episodes are set to drop on Netflix this Friday, March 25.

Like the book it's based on, the second season introduces a completely new storyline with new main characters, giving us a chance to obsess over fresh talent. Simone Ashley and Charithra Chandra play sisters Kate and Edwina, who are in a love triangle with Jonathan Bailey's character Anthony. At the season two premiere red carpet, Ashley wore a Gucci outfit complete with a sheer skirt, lace thigh-high tights, an exposed midriff, and a ruffled neckline. That's a lot of trends in one look, but Ashley pulled it off with ease. Scroll down to see what everyone wore to the premiere.

Senior News Editor

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 12 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of senior news editor (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
