Blazers have been one of the biggest runaway trends over the past year. Last fall, we couldn’t stop seeing grey checked blazers in the wardrobes of fashion girls everywhere, but this spring there’s a fun new take on the staple: bright-colored blazers in shades from lavender to canary yellow to sea green.

Looking to our favorite fashion girls on Instagram and the street style scene, we picked up on some interesting ways to style them. If you’re heading to the office, try out a coordinating blazer and trousers in a shade of pastel layered with a white top and heels. Or you can even try an unexpected combo like an orange jacket paired with bubblegum-pink pants. And perhaps our favorite way to wear them is a pantsuit finished off with some sneakers to dress down the look. So whether you want to add a little personality to your outfits at the office or just want an updated take on the blazer trend for spring, see some ideas for styling the look and shop our favorite pieces.

One cool way to dress down a pantsuit? Add a pair of sneakers.
