I Never Thought About This Trend, But It's Actually Incredibly Chic
There’s no denying that the slouchy blazer continues to reign supreme as an easy and polished go-to in the closets of fashion girls and celebs alike. Well, as I spent time scrolling through IG over the last few months, I noticed another suiting trend bubbling up as a fresh staple. I’m talking about cropped blazers.
Now, here’s the thing. I never really gave this specific jacket silhouette much thought. Other cropped outerwear picks like denim jackets and what not? Sure. But cropped blazers just never crossed my mind given the extreme popularity of oversize blazers right now. However, as some of my favorite style-setters proved recently, they just might be one of the most fashion-forward and chicest pieces to add unexpected elegance to an outfit.
And even if you're not necessarily wearing these types of outfits right now, I rounded up five of my favorite looks featuring cropped blazers to potentially save for inspo down the road. And if you're shopping at the moment, I also included inspired items for each ensemble as well.
A pair of utility pants brings unexpected contrast to a black blazer-and-tee pairing. Smart accessories like pointed ankle boots and chain necklaces complete the vibe.

High-waisted skinnies team flawlessly with a cropped blazer for a casual yet sophisticated look. While this ensemble also features a cropped blouse, a bodysuit or tucked-in tee would also work.
Shop the look:
Nail a plethora of spring trends by pairing a plaid cropped blazer with a button-down shirt (note the collar layered over the lapel) and opting for trendy leather Bermuda shorts.
Shop the look:
This is one easy and elevated outfit formula that just works: straight-leg jeans, a cropped blazer, and heels.

Keep it chill and polished with a blazer, blouse, straight jeans, and white sneakers for a laid-back vibe.
