This Next-Level Wellness Find Is a Jitter-Free Coffee Alternative and Beauty Investment in One
A few years ago, I decided to forego my daily coffee ritual in favor of matcha because I realized it was negatively impacting my health. Once I stopped guzzling down lattes and cold brew on a daily basis, I noticed that my sleep quality improved, and I was less anxious. This, of course, was a good thing, but I love coffee too much to give it up completely. Even after I stopped drinking it daily, I'd still have a cold brew a few times a week as a treat.
For a while, I even tried coffee alternatives, but they never stuck because they just didn't taste the same or provide the same benefits. I'd just given up on finding a solution when I came across Everyday Dose, the brand that created a special coffee blend for us coffee-sensitive folks. It's still coffee, but the brand took out all the parts that aren't so great about it—the stress on your nervous system, jitters, and disruption to your sleep—and added in some incredible beauty benefits. It's the holy grail of coffee formulas, and it's too good to gatekeep. If you love coffee but don't love the side effects, keep reading. I'm sharing everything I know about this magical little potion ahead.
The brand's Bold Coffee+ blend is my go-to in the morning now. I like a bolder roast when it comes to coffee, and this one is great—smooth with a richer flavor. There are so many things to love about Everyday Dose and its blends, but I'll start with the fact that each blend is designed to have low acidity, using coffee extract so it's easier on your stomach. Additionally, each blend contains collagen protein, which promotes healthy skin, hair, nails, and joints. I was already a huge fan of collagen supplements, so it's nice that I no longer have to buy a whole separate formula to get the same benefits.
Additionally, it's packed with Chaga mushroom and lion's mane to boost gut health, support cognitive function, and improve immunity. Finally, L-theanine rounds out the formula, which is known to improve focus, sleep, immunity, and metabolism. Honestly, I hadn't found many superfood coffee blends that I still liked the taste of until I tried this. It tastes just as delicious as my regular morning cold brew, but I love that is has so many extra benefits added in. I also just love how I feel after drinking it. The energy it provides is sustainable, but there are absolutely no jitters or anxiousness. It's a true miracle formula for someone who loves coffee but is sensitive to it.
After giving up my daily coffee, I turned to matcha instead. I've turned into a bit of a matcha snob and love to get it imported straight from Japan, but this blend tastes just as good as some of the matcha blends I've gotten from overseas. This contains Tenzo tea, a ceremonial-grade matcha that's smooth, vibrant, and delicious. With the added benefits of collagen, functional mushrooms, and L-theanine, it's the perfect morning support drink for days when you don't want a crazy caffeine boost.
More Drink Blends With Beauty Benefits
Blume's superfood latte mixes are among my faves. The brand has so many good ones, and the Blue Lavender Blend contains blue butterfly pea tea and lavender to soothe and calm stress in the evening. It's a great mix to drink before bed. It's also caffeine-free and low sugar.
I've been taking this metabolism powder from Sakara for years and love it. While it is pricey, the formula is absolutely worth it. Featuring DygloFit, an active ingredient of a West African spicefruit, it supports healthy weight loss and an accelerated metabolism. Cinnamon bark in the formula promotes a feeling of fullness, and chromium stabilizes blood sugar.
This is a superstar coffee blend that contains many of the same ingredients and benefits that Everyday Dose does, but it also has prebiotics, vitamins, and other stress-supporting adaptogens like ashwagandha. This brand operates as a subscription service, though, which is something to keep in mind.
