This Challenging Trend Is Dominating Fashion Week Street Style

We're already three-fourths of the way through fashion month, and clear trends among the stylish show attendees have undoubtedly emerged. And one, in particular, is quite challenging—vinyl. This isn't the first season that the fashion crowd has rocked the shiny material, but this season, it's out in full force on the streets of NYC, London, and Milan in the form of everything from trenches to pants to skirts. What was once reserved for rain gear is now fashion.

While most vinyl occurrences that we spotted are black, this season we're also seeing the trend in more of a variety of hues, like camel, pink, and red. As a result of the popularity of the trend for those in the know, it's likely that it will become a lot more mainstream in the near future. (Fast-fashion retailers like Topshop and H&M currently have multiple vinyl pieces in stock.)

If you want to try the admittedly difficult-to-pull-off trend, we recommend starting with an easy combination of vinyl pants or a skirt with a tee and sneakers or ankle boots. Ready to see proof of the popularity of the vinyl trend?
