Zendaya Told Us Which Shoes She Would Never Wear

Zendaya may only be 19 years old, but she's already a veritable fashion whisperer. The W magazine cover girl looks equally chic whether she's wearing a camo jacket–and-boots combo for an NBA game or a feminine Kenzo dress at Comic-Con. With her impeccable eye for style, it should come as no surprise that she would decide to enter the design realm: She's created a new shoe line, dubbed Daya by Zendaya, in collaboration with her stylist Law Roach

To get the scoop, we went straight to Zendaya herself. Our conversation ran the gamut from her involvement with the line to the shoes she'd never wear. When we asked how she would style the flats from her line on the red carpet, Zendaya revealed that she doesn't actually wear flats. "I only wear heels or sneakers; there isn’t an in-between for me," she told Who What Wear. She also dished on her favorite style from the collection, what's next for her brand, and more.

Associate Director, Fashion News

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 13 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
