I'm well aware that boredom isn't exactly the best reason to spend money. I'd also be willing to bet that it's led to a few regretful purchases for most of us, but that doesn't have to be the case. Boredom can be productive in many ways, shopping included. The next time you're stuck figuring out what to do when you're bored, remember that life is hectic, to say the least, so using that downtime for a little wardrobe building can be fun and productive (and boredom-busting).

Since I'm lucky enough to count shopping as part of my job, I've come across many pieces lately that won't leave you regretting the boredom-induced purchases they may lead to. Many are affordable finds that you'll wear on repeat, and others are worth the investment (as in, you'll want to hang on to them for years).
