Style icon. Fashion designer. Former pop star. Is there any box Victoria Beckham hasn't checked off? Here at Who What Wear, there are a number of well-dressed celebrities whose style we stan, but to be completely honest, very few of them fall into the category of chic that VB herself occupies. Every time she steps out, it's in a look that's classic yet forward, and I swear she can make just about anything look polished. Let's just say that it wouldn't be easy to achieve her level of style, but I can certainly try.

In the past we've shared the secrets of her great style, breaking down the seven pieces in her capsule wardrobe so you can easily dress like her too. But today I'm taking things to a whole new level by fully copying her best outfits to date. It's a style experiment I've done in the past with another set of impossibly chic ladies by the name of Olsen. This time, I decided to give myself a Victoria Beckham–inspired makeover, complete with the tailored pieces and sleek ensembles she's known for.

I set out to re-create four of her best and most iconic outfit combinations over the course of a week. I stepped outside my comfort zone with some of the looks and adapted others to fit my personal style. Curious to see how accurate my Victoria Beckham–inspired outfits really were? Keep scrolling to see how I did and whether or not she'll name me an honorary Spice Girl (here's hoping).

VB is a master at suiting and I, being a novice at wearing power suits, approached the look with a more relaxed spin, swapping a T-shirt and combat boots in place of her button-down and heels. Despite dozens of her strongest tailored ensembles, I stand by this hunter green suit as one of her best because the rich color makes it feel less corporate, as suits tend to, and more fashion-forward. A striking pair of "old Céline" sunglasses certainly doesn't hurt, though.

Tucking a thin sweater or blouse into wide-legged trousers is an iconic Beckham move and a combo she's made her signature. Though I was sure I could re-create the look with just about any version of the two pieces, it's the combination of bold primary colors here that really stands out. I went for a similar pair of red trousers with a thin striped knit top and finished it off with patent ankle boots and a structured handbag just like VB.

Next is an outfit idea Beckham herself was so into she wore it three times in a row. It's a simple enough ensemble, and one that I had all the fixings for right in my own closet, but it oozes sophistication and polish—the hallmarks of VB's style. This look was the most classic of all the outfits I copied from her and had me feeling particularly put-together throughout the day I wore it.

Seeing as I normally wear a white T-shirt to work most days, I jumped at the chance to style the everyday basic in a VB-approved manner. To amp up the style of my tee, I copied her relaxed leather pants and sleek pointed-toe heels. To make it my own, I layered on a few staple jewelry pieces like chunky hoops and a pendant necklace. Of all the Beckham-inspired outfits I tried, this is definitely one I'll be wearing again (and again and again).
