Trust Me—Buy These 22 Things
It’s Wednesday, which means it’s time for our weekly installment of new arrivals, however, today we’re doing something a little different. Did you catch my Trust Me, Buy This post last time? If so, you’re ready to start shopping. If not, read on.
While I’ll still be sharing some of my favorite fashion pieces as of late, this time, we’re giving it more of a personal spin with the items I’ve not only been loving on the web but IRL too. With a little help from my shopping-focused Instagram account, @trustmebuythis, where I share my own snaps of items I’m into at the moment, I'm making this week’s post a tad more personal. Some common themes to expect? Shoes, jackets, accessories—just some of the things I hoard—and, of course, a mix of high-end investment pieces and budget-friendly steals I think you’ll love.

Here are four things I got (and am most excited about) for spring and wore at the first opportunity I had in the sun.

Photo:
In other springy news, these two totes are another supplemental part of my new-season wardrobe. Fun fact: The bamboo one folds completely flat for easy storage and packing. Also, this woven tote by Truss has gotten me more compliments than anything else I’ve worn recently.

The purpose of this photo was to show off my new earrings that I really love, but it’s also worth mentioning that this knot-sleeve top (which you can barely see but is also pictured here) is pretty great too.

As a T-shirt fanatic, I usually stick to white, but when I find one that’s a little less boring but still goes great with my blue jeans, I jump on it. I also felt like these colors were very timely with spring’s omnipresent pastel trend, no?

Photo:
While you likely won’t catch me actually photographed in lingerie (no judgment, just sayin’), I still felt the need to somehow show off this beautiful lilac set I became obsessed with from Lonely.

Photo:
As a 5’2” girl, I’ll take anything that makes me look taller. As you can see in the above photo, this elongating duster is one of them, but that’s not the only reason it’s so great. Up-close, it’s the prettiest color topped with the nicest embroidery.

Photo:
I captioned this photo “bad pic, great jacket” because, quite frankly, my selfie does not do justice to the perfect cut, details, and color of this dream denim jacket from newly launched label Boyish.

Photo:
I like to wake up and put on the same jewelry every day, so getting new pieces means simply piling them on to my existing set. Some of my newer favorites are the rose-gold ring on my middle finger, the rainbow band on my ring finger, and my custom Roxanne Assoulin bracelets.

Photo:
If you’ve been keeping up with these Trust Me, Buy This posts, you might recognize these from an earlier story. However, I felt compelled to post them again because I want to make it clear just how beautiful they are.

Photo:
So I do not wear these every day, but I kind of wish I did because, well, how cool are they? I discovered the brand on Instagram then happened to find them in a store on a trip to Austin. Also, this turtleneck bodysuit that happens to be on sale has made dressing for fake spring in NY so much easier.

Photo:
I call this my fake-sporty but also extremely on-trend look because it doesn’t get more of-the-moment right now than a windbreaker and chunky sneakers. This Nike jacket gives me serious Isabel Marant vibes (for 1/5 of the price), while my favorite thing about these shoes is that they secretly give me some added height.
Available in sizes 5 to 10.
That’s all for this week! Be sure to check in next Wednesday for our regularly programmed new arrivals roundup.
