We Don't Know Who's More Stylish—These 20 Celebs or Their Chic Mums

Have you ever wondered how it is that celebrities always look so stylish? Of course, personal stylists often have something to do with it, as does the fact they generally have a free pass to borrow just about whatever they please from the world's top designers, but we think it goes farther than that. What if it's down to genetics? Turns out it may be…
In the name of investigative journalism, we decided to do a background check on our favourite celebrities. Our main focus? Their mothers. We had a hunch that the sartorially blessed stars likely had equally stylish mums behind the scenes, and you know what? We were right. From Sienna Miller and Kate Middleton to Zoë Kravitz and Tracee Ellis Ross, each and every one has a mum who certainly knows how to pull together an outfit.
Keep scrolling to see the most stylish celebrity mums. We'll leave you to make the call on whether they're more fashionable than their famous daughters.
Ever wondered where Sienna gets her cool boho-style streak from? Wonder no more…
If you're not already obsessed with Tracee Ellis Ross, you soon will be. The daughter of music legend Diana Ross, the pair always bring the glamour to red carpet events.
Kate's penchant for velvet and loose outerwear clearly comes from her mum, Linda.
Kate Middleton is known for her elegant style. When you see her standing side by side with mum Carole, it's not hard to see where she gets it from.
Blythe Danner is an actress in her own right, and the resemblance between her and daughter Gwyneth goes way beyond looks.
Probably the coolest mother-daughter combination of all time, Zoë Kravitz and singer mum Lisa Bonet share a love of black dresses, minimal makeup and effortless hair.
Fearne's penchant for rock-chick styling and kohl liner comes from mum Lin. We love her rings and sequinned jumper so much.
Dakota's mum, Melanie, is also a famous actress, and her flair for red carpet dressing almost has the edge on her daughter.
The Hadid sisters are known for their edgy style, but it's mum Yolanda—with her slicked-back hair and asymmetric-hem dress—who wins out here.
Seeing as she's a fashion designer, it's apt that Daisy's mum, Pearl, knows how to assemble a chic outfit.
Of course, we can't talk about stylish mums without mentioning Kris Jenner. Not even a giant poster of Paris Hilton can outshine Kris's purple suit look. Inspired.
Having a fashion designer for a mum certainly comes in handy. Tina makes most, if not all, of daughter Beyoncé's tour costumes. But when it comes to her own wares, she always opts for chic tailoring.
Just when we thought we couldn't love Goldie Hawn more, she goes and wears dresses like this one on the red carpet. Easily a 10.
Are we seeing two Hollys? Don't be fooled—Holly's mum is on the right and is perhaps the reason her daughter regularly chooses lacy dresses and red lips.
Elegant and classy, the similarities between Meghan Markle and mum Doria are endless—particularly their wardrobes.
We thought Margot's style was going from strength to strength. Then we saw her mum, Sarie, and she was left in the dust. Okay, not quite, but how sleek does she look in this broderie suit?
We don't know whose outfit we love more—Naomi Campbell's lace slip dress, or her mum Valerie's caped creation?
Jackie's ability to pull off statement tailoring has been passed onto daughter Victoria, who designs many a standout suit for her namesake fashion line. Also, let's take a moment to appreciate how effortlessly David's mum, Sandra, has given her suit a cool spin with a simple white tee.
Katie is one of Hollywood's most underrated dressers, having picked up a thing or two from mum Kathleen along the way.
Last but certainly not least, we have Lily-Rose Depp and mum Vanessa—both of whom are Chanel muses.
