The New Dresses That Will Sell Out Because of Meghan Markle

Some could argue that Meghan Markle's reception dress outshined her actual wedding gown, and you can thank Stella McCartney for that. The acclaimed British designer created the stunning halter dress Markle wore after the ceremony, and now more brides will be able to benefit from McCartney's royal touch.

Today, McCartney launched her first wedding collection, which is music to every stylish bride-to-be's ears. One of the dresses is even inspired by Markle's now-iconic reception gown if you're looking to add a dash of royalty at your wedding. Don't fancy yourself a gown type of girl? In addition to seven different dresses, McCartney also designed a lace embroidered jumpsuit and a sleek tuxedo as alternative bridal options.

Plus, as with all of her designs, there's more than meets the eye. "Staying true to Stella's commitment to sustainability," the brand says, "the collection is crafted using her luxurious sustainable viscose, as well as a modern version of traditional couture fabrics including lace and chiffon." Erin Fitzpatrick
Senior News Editor

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 12 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of senior news editor (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
