7 Spring Outfits to Try This Weekend

Spring is just around the corner. (One week away, to be exact.) I could not be more excited for the temperature to rise, as each time the sun is shining, I find myself mentally outfit planning all the looks I want to wear once the weather improves.

Influencers everywhere are also providing a plethora of outfit inspiration, posting images from balmier locations across the globe. Luckily, several of my favourite looks are actually somewhat appropriate for the current weather or can be made winter-worthy simply by the addition of a coat or pair of tights.

From Aimee Song's leather-blazer–and-jeans look to Tamu's oatmeal outfit, there's so much inspiration online for spring looks that feel just as relevant in the cooler weather. Why not take a leaf out of Karo Dall's book and throw a leopard-print jacket over your favourite summer maxi dress? Or emulate Eni and update your jeans and a tee with a colourful coat?

Sure, the new season may not be here just yet, but these are the spring-inspired outfits you can start trying this weekend…

1. Cardigan + White Jeans + Sneakers

Style Notes: This is casual dressing done right. Monikh's effortless jeans-and-cardi look is a no-brainer for spring, taking you easily from weekend errands to brunch with your best girlfriends.

2. Polka-Dot Dress + Brogues

Style Notes: Polka dots are one of my favourite prints and as Megan Ellaby proves above they can make an outfit all on their own. Invest in a polka-dot dress, pair it with chunky heeled shoes and you're good to go.

3. Clashing-Colour Tailored Separates

Style Notes: If you think clashing colours is a fashion faux pas, may I please direct your attention to this chic look by Charlotte Kuhrt. As Kuhrt proves here, this spring, two bold colours are definitely better than one.

4. Leather Blazer + Jeans + Sneakers

Style Notes: As the item loved by Kaia Gerber, Camille Charriere and more, there's no denying that leather blazers are having a moment. Here, Aimee gives the item weekend appeal by pairing it with straight-leg jeans and sneakers.

5. Statement Coat + Jeans + White T-Shirt

Style Notes: We're not sure about you, but we can't wait to go back to wearing our favourite basic outfit of jeans and a white tee. Eni loves the look too but has made it weather appropriate by throwing a statement coat over the top.

6. Maxi Dress + Leopard-Print Coat + Sneakers

Style Notes: With spring around the corner, we're very excited to start wearing our bold maxi dresses again. Karo Dall proves you don't have to wait for the warmer weather by pairing hers with a leopard-print coat and New Balance sneakers.

7. Bright Dress + Colourful Sneakers

Style Notes: Nothing says spring like wearing a bright pop of colour. Even when the weather isn't great, wearing a long-sleeved dress alongside sneakers is a foolproof weekend look.
