I Don't Buy Into a Lot of Trends, But I'm Into These 24 Items From Nordstrom

Here’s the thing: I don't necessarily "live for the trends" when it comes to my own style. Sure, I adore scouting the latest looks and giving the download on what’s fresh in fashion, but I tend to stick to a pretty classic silhouette made up of basics in my day-to-day. That said, there is a sampling of trends that I am particularly into at the moment because they feel forward yet versatile and somewhat timeless, fitting in with my low-key style. And after recently scrolling through Nordstrom for some other market research, I realized that many of the looks I’m into at the moment can actually be found in the Nordstrom new arrivals section.
Curious? Keep scrolling to uncover the six trends I’m into and suggesting to my inner circle, complete with a bit of visual outfit inspo. You’ll also find 24 chic items that fit within said trends that are all available at Nordstrom, if you are in fact shopping at the moment.
Utility Jackets and Shirts
Utility dressing often seems like one of those perennial trends, but the look bubbled up in an especially noteworthy way for spring and summer with designers from Stella McCartney to Max Mara incorporating fresh utility jackets and shirting into their collections. The fashion crowd continues to lean into the trend as well.
Sporty Sandals
I'm not always a sandal person, but if there's one of-the-moment style I want to give a spin this summer, it's two-strap sporty sandals. I think they'd look especially cool with tube socks.
Ribbed and Non-Simple Tees
Clearly I'd never give up my classic simple tees (I live in them), but I also want to experiment with some of the fresh silhouettes making the rounds, including those with ribbed details or unique shapes.
Oversize Tailoring
I've been into the slouchy-tailoring trend for the last few seasons as a chic way to bring a modern spin to a look. And I will say, Nordstrom has quite the offering of top-notch blazers.
White Denim
While I'm traditionally a black-jeans kind of person, all of the chic white-denim 'fits out there are seriously tempting me to test out white jeans this season.
Polka Dots
When it comes to prints, polka dots really made waves on the S/S 20 runways (ahem, Sacai and Altuzarra). They're such a sweet way to make a statement, and I'm here for it.
