I'm Not Boring, But Simple Outfits Excite Me—These 7 Looks Are Very Chic

Let me start this by saying that I’m not a boring person. Well, I don’t think I am. That said, in the fashion realm, it’s the more pared-down outfits that excite me most. Given that I live in basics in my day-to-day life (aside from more statement-making accessories from time to time), I just gravitate toward simple looks made up of elevated yet easy pieces.
So naturally, when I scroll through Instagram and find one of the said low-key ensembles, I add it to my Saved folder to reference later. Today, I thought I’d share with you some of the outfits I’m feeling. As a preview, each outfit is deemed simple because it’s made up of just a few pieces, and these items are forward and impossibly chic.
Keep scrolling to check out the simple outfits that recently piqued my interest.
This combination of a white shirt, a tee, and trousers continues to be one of my favorite outfit formulas for a modern vibe.
I’m interested in trying saturated hues this fall, but I still adore a neutral palette like this look with the oversize blazer, coordinating pants, and loafers.
A slouchy striped sweater is impossibly chic with black leggings or jeans.
It really doesn’t get any easier than a trend-forward basic (the polo), slouchy jeans, and Converse sneakers.
Here is another ensemble highlighting a button-down shirt over a tank or tee. The trick here is taking the simple look to the next level by tying the shirt at the front.
A vest over a shirt is a simple pairing that’s quite directional with distressed jeans.
Denim on denim will continue to be a go-to look for many (including myself) this fall.
