Becca Millstein has made a real name for herself in the culinary industry. As the founder and CEO of Fishwife, Millstein built a woman-founded and led company centered around making premium-quality, ethically sourced tinned seafood an essential item in every kitchen. In addition to having seriously tasty recipes, Fishwife's joyful and vibrant designs make its products all the more fun to engage with. Available online, at specialty grocers, and through national distributors like Whole Foods, Fishwife is bringing specialty conservas—and the culture surrounding it—to tables across the country.

Since launching in December 2020, Millstein has evolved the product range to include an assortment of smoked rainbow trout, albacore tuna, Atlantic salmon, and, most recently, Cantabrian anchovies—all sourced exclusively from responsibly managed fisheries and aquaculture farms. Fishwife has garnered attention from some of the most esteemed publications, including Food & Wine, The New York Times, and Vanity Fair, further cementing its place in food culture.

It may come as a surprise to learn that Millstein worked in entertainment before leading a cultural food movement. After starting her career at the ICM Partners talent agency, she landed a marketing role at Atlantic Records, specializing in artist marketing and music brand partnerships. Listen to the latest episode of Second Life to hear how Millstein navigated a career pivot to helm a burgeoning tinned-food empire.
