Remi Afolabi is Who What Wear UK's video content creator, and ever since she started working with us a few months ago, I've wanted to buy everything—literally everything—she wears. With great earrings and knits on Zoom calls and the most expensive-looking Zara pieces, this girl has taste.
If you aren't one of the smart people following Remi (@remiafolabi) on Instagram already, let me introduce you to this digital native and her great looks. "I want to be comfortable, but I also want to look cool and put-together," she tells me. "I love mixing relaxed pieces with pieces that are more elevated for a unique contrast." This manifests in clever pairings like fancy-but-comfy plissé co-ords worn with chunky flats or a pair of sassy leather trousers diffused with an oversized tee. "I definitely can't live without my oversized blazer (Monday's look)," she says. "I literally throw it over everything! It’s a piece that I can always rely on for many years to come. It takes my looks from day to night effortlessly, too." See this key item and much more by scrolling down…
On Remi: Zara blazer; Weekday dress; Mango bag; Accessorize sunglasses
"A blazer paired with a midi dress and chunky boots has to be my number one go-to outfit combination. I think it's the perfect way to still make use of the summer dresses you love in autumn especially!"
On Remi: Stylenanda jacket; Topshop skirt; Monki bag; Zara boots; Accessorize sunglasses
"This statement midi skirt has seen me through all the seasons for a few years now! It's definitely a piece I won't let go of easily. This look is my favourite way to wear it."
On Remi: ASOS Design jacket; Bershka trousers; Monki bag; Accessorize sunglasses
"I think patterned trousers can be tricky to style, especially in the colder months, but I was up for the challenge when I made an impulse purchase on this pair! I find that matching one colour from the pattern of the trousers to what you're wearing on top usually does the trick."
On Remi: ASOS trench coat; Urban Outfitters T-shirt; Collusion jeans; Monki boots and bag; Accessorize sunglasses
"Trench coats are just one of those staples everyone needs in their wardrobe. Before I bought this particular one, I was on the hunt for something different to the common style of trench coat. I ended up with this one because I was drawn to the utility-style vest stitched to it—super cool!
On Remi: Stradivarius shirt and trousers; Mango bag; Accessorize sunglasses
"The plissé co-ord is everywhere right now, and for a good reason! They're perfect to wear under a light jacket for the cooler days, but once the temperatures drop a little more, I'll be swapping them for knitted alternatives."
Next up, this is the best cold-weather capsule.
