Okay, I Need a Whole New Vibe—These 6 Summer Aesthetics Are Everything

I try not to blame everything on my astrological sign, but with that said, I’m a libra. As a libra, one of the standout characteristics we carry is being indecisive. I can barely decide on where I want to go to dinner let alone which style aesthetic to commit to. Some days, I fully embrace the dainty details and romantic vibe of princesscore aesthetic, and other days, I’m scrolling through cowgirl boots, cutoff shorts, and Western-style belts for my summer wardrobe. There are so many different aesthetics that you can go with from cottage core to sporty chic.

Whatever vibe fits best with your lifestyle, personality, and sense of style is what I recommend going with when figuring out your summer aesthetic. Personally, I think I’m going to go with the simple yet elevated, model-off-duty vibe. I love simple versatile pieces, and as a New York City fashion girl myself, I need things that are comfortable enough that I can wear while running around the city that doesn’t sacrifice style. But you know me and my cursed indecisiveness, it's a simple yet elevated vibe today and cottagecore vibe tomorrow.

Keep scrolling through to see six aesthetics that I’ve been eyeing for summer.

Princesscore

We all have Bridgerton to thank for making this the aesthetic of the year. Princesscore has totally stolen my heart, corset tops are back trending, long romantic opera gloves, sparkly details, and ultra-romantic vibes are all major keys to pulling off this aesthetic. I know I’m all about simple yet elevated lately, but this glamorous, playful, and fun aesthetic is definitely a close second.

Sporty Chic

Whether you’re on the tennis court or not, this sporty aesthetic is everything. I love the pairing of the tennis skirts and sneakers, plus whimsical tennis inspired accessories. I’ve seen this tennis/golf club type of vibe all throughout my Instagram feed and I've got to say, I’m into it.

This aesthetic is definitely going to be a fashion girl favorite for 2022. Summer is the best time to wear bold, saturated colors. Especially with so many summer events like vacations, weddings, and parties, this vibe screams luxe yet summery.

This vibe is everything to me right now. I love the versatile simple pieces that look good no matter what. Think outfits our favorite It girls like Hailey Beiber, Kendall Jenner, and Emily Ratajkowski would wear to grab a coffee or walk their dogs. Model-off duty but taken to the next level. I can’t get enough of it.

Cottagecore

The aesthetic that took over summer 2020 is back. Cottagecore is exactly what it sounds like: an aesthetic revolving around the idea of living in a cottage. Think chic country weekend away, puff sleeves, romantic mini dresses, light colors, and dainty pastel flowers. This aesthetic stole the hearts of so many fashion girls and I predict we’ll see this vibe all summer long.

Western aesthetics have always been a personal favorite of mine. I love a good cowboy boot, I mean for a girl who lives in New York City I think I have 4 or 5 pairs. Adding a touch of a western aesthetic by adding a buckle belt or cowgirl hat can take a simple look to the next level. Even though this summer I may not go full on western chic, you’ll definitely see a cowgirl hat or two on my Instagram.
