Here's How Celebrities Are Wearing This Year's Biggest Jean Trend
If you’re a regular Who What Wear reader, you know that one of the biggest denim trends we’re doting on this year is loose-fit jeans, or as we like to call them, anti-skinny jeans. What’s not to love? They’re comfortable, roomy, and make you feel like Rachel Green. Just one scroll of your feed, and you’ll see fashion girls everywhere wearing the '90s silhouette in fresh, inspiring new ways. While baggy jeans are a little trickier to pull off compared to their ubiquitous skinny predecessor (the right shoes are key, my friends!), celebrities have been quick to take on the trend, wearing theirs with everything from chunky dad sneakers to cropped cardigans.
So whether you opt for a low-rise waist and slouchy leg or a high-waisted slightly cropped silhouette, get inspired below by how our favorite celebrities are taking on the relaxed new trend.
Bella Hadid is currently the baggy-jean queen. She's been spotted in them from Paris to New York, sporting them with cropped cardigans and boots during the day and layered over opaque tights and black heels at night.
It must be in the genes (get it?) because her sister, Gigi, also has a penchant for the cool-girl, relaxed denim style. She offsets the loose leg with a structured blazer and polished boots.
Rihanna looks effortlessly cool in baggy jeans, pairing them with a loose button-down shirt and of-the-moment feather heels. We love the whimsical touch!
Hailey Rhode Bieber keeps the loose-fit look youthful, balancing the baggy silhouette with a tight crop top and oversize plaid shirt. White ankle boots add the perfect finishing touch.
Even when Victoria Beckham wears relaxed jeans, she always looks polished. In this case, it's thanks to a classic navy turtleneck and luxe burgundy accessories.
Kendall Jenner has been a huge fan of the '90s silhouette for some time now, and she always finds unexpectedly cool ways to style them. Try pairing them with laid-back dad sneakers and a chic overcoat for a modern look.
Up next, six spring shoes that look glorious with baggy jeans.
