The Quiet "Latte" Beauty Trend Practically Screams Luxury
When it comes to my beauty routine, I like to keep things simple. I always favour minimal makeup looks and neutral nail colours as I know that not only do they go with everything, but they are quick and easy to achieve. So, when I saw that "latte" beauty trends were on the rise, I couldn't have been happier.
Much like the name suggests, this beauty trend is inspired by your favourite morning beverage. Whether you like your latte iced, decaf or with a splash of vanilla syrup, everyone can give this beauty look a go. Think soft brown smokey eyes, milky nails and caramel latte-coloured hair. This new minimal trend practically screams quiet luxury, as although it's subtle, it instantly elevates any outfit.
If you're keen to give the trend a go, then you're in luck, as I went straight to the experts to find out exactly how to re-create the look. Keep on scrolling for everything you need to know. Spoiler alert: You might want to make yourself a coffee before reading, as you'll definitely be craving one when you're finished.
Latte Makeup
First things first, let's talk about latte makeup. This is the trend that started it all, with the hashtag #lattemakeup racking up a casual 104 million views and counting on TikTok alone.
According to Melanie Barrese, global trainer at By Terry, "The monochromatic look represents classic beauty at its best, making it perfect for summer thanks to the warm bronzed, sun-kissed colour palette."
Barrese says that the key trick to creating a latte makeup look is to incorporate a mix of finishes across the eyes, lips and skin. "This involves blending matte finishes with shimmer and glossy tones, and playing with chestnut, champagne, apricot and peach shades depending on your skin tone."
The chicest makeup look—you simply can't go wrong with a brown smokey eye.
For the full latte makeup effect, pair a matte brown eyeshadow with a glossy nude lip.

This Charlotte Tilbury palette has the perfect selection of matte brown shades to help you create lots of latte makeup looks.
To amp it up a bit, add a matte brown eyeliner like this one from Dior. This is my favourite eyeliner as the felt-tip pen makes it easy to apply, and once it's on, it doesn't budge.
It wouldn't be a latte makeup look without a little bit of bronzer. This Rare Beauty one looks really natural on the skin, but you can also build it up if you want more of a contoured finish.
To finish everything off, opt for a nude lip liner like this one from By Terry. You can add a nude gloss or a matte brown lipstick over the top for extra impact.
Latte Nails
I think latte nails could be one of my favourite nail trends of all time. The creamy coffee colour is so chic, and I'm not sure I'll ever wear brightly coloured nail polish again. The best thing about this trend is that it's easy to re-create at home, as there are so many coffee-inspired nail polishes on offer. Keep on scrolling to shop my top picks.
This nail colour compliments both silver and gold jewellery, so you can mix your metals until your heart's content.
One creamy oat-milk latte manicure to go, please.

This Essie nail polish shade is called Cold Brew Crew, but we think it could definitely pass as a latte too.
If you like your latte on the milky side, then this Gucci nail polish is the one for you. Simply stunning.
This long-wearing nail polish will quickly become a staple in your collection.
Latte Hair
Yes, that's right, even latte hair is a thing. This hair colour is completely customisable, so whether you want vanilla latte locks or perhaps a deeper caramel shade, we've got all the inspo you need.
This is one of my favourite vanilla latte hair looks. I will be showing my hairdresser this picture at my next appointment.
If you like deeper, richer tones, why not opt for caramel latte-inspired hair? It's the perfect trend to see you into autumn and beyond.
Shop The Trend:
This gloss will give your hair a healthy-looking shine and enhance those caramel tones.
Bleach London knows how to do hair dye, and this rich coffee colour is no exception.
For those of you who want more of a vanilla latte look, this gloss is designed to help stop your colour from fading and brighten that blonder tone.
If the name Sleek Espresso isn't enough to convince you to try this hair gloss out, perhaps the promise of silky soft hair and a mirror-like shine will.
