It's not every day you get a call from Kim Kardashian, so when one of the most-discussed, stylish celebrities du jour rang our office to chat about the Kardashian Kids launch at Nordstrom, we were quick to pick up. And while we had her on the line, we picked her brain about everything from Kanye West's sartorial influence to how she manages to make those iconic curves look so incredible.
"My key has always been to figure out the body parts you love the most, and figure out what you don’t like, and figure out how to hide what you don’t like and show off what you like," Kardashian advised. "I’m a really big fan of undergarments," she added, noting that she does wear Spanx and other body-shapers.
"But really, I think it’s just figuring out what you truly like on your body and how to accentuate that," she went on to say. "If you don’t like your arms, then maybe a kimono look would look good because it has the longer sleeves to kind of cover up your arms. It just depends on what it is you're trying to hide and highlight."
Kardashian Kids just launched on Nordstrom this week, and it marks the first time it has teamed up with a major retailer. The line's biggest priorities, according to Kardashian? Comfort and affordability.
"I don’t think people realise how much input kids really have and how much they want [clothes] to be super comfortable," Kardashian told us. "Kids are way more picky than you could imagine! We wanted the line to be really cute and stylish, but really affordable too—I think our fan base can really connect with that. Kids do grow so fast, so it’s helpful to have a line that’s super affordable."
