I'm in My 30s, and I'd Buy These 29 H&M Items in an Instant

Allyson Payer

H&M may have a reputation for being a "young" brand, but I firmly believe there are great options in its stock for people of all ages. (I said the same thing about Zara recently.) The truth is that H&M was one of my go-to brands in my early 20s. Now that I'm in my late 30s, my taste has certainly changed, but brands that have been around for a while, like H&M, have also changed, noticeably making an effort to diversify their offerings.

The great thing about H&M is that there are plenty of basics mixed in with the more trend-forward pieces. My wardrobe tends to be far more classic in my older age, so I appreciate retailers that give options that aren't just here today, gone tomorrow. As you know, the H&M price points are incredibly reasonable, so it's a great place to shop for trends that you want to try without spending a ton.

In case you were wondering what a 30-something fashion editor loves from H&M, here are my picks from the current inventory.

This is good enough to order in both colors.

I can't get over this $11 pair of sunglasses.

Sign me up for everything that's happening here.

Good affordable trenches are so hard to come by.

This goes with everything, and the reviews are shockingly good.

I don't even need to tell you how often you'll wear these.

It's not every day you come across a $28 dress that's this elegant.

I'm not surprised by how quickly this is selling.

I searched for "crochet" and stumbled upon this gem.

This skirt can double as a chic swimsuit cover-up.

So good with cargo pants or baggy jeans.

This is designed to be worn over and over.

There are a million ways to wear this.

Flattering is an understatement.

H&M is my secret source of cute, affordable pajamas.

I love that these don't have metal buckles.

The glowing reviews don't lie.

I think we can all agree that this looks expensive.

Another pair of sunglasses that literally stopped me in my tracks.

This looks surprisingly well-made.

Everyone is wearing fitted blazers now, and H&M got the memo.

I'm having more and more trouble finding shorts that I like, but H&M is making it easier.
