For Target, collaboration has been its way to make the fashion industry more approachable than ever. First with its revival of designer-led collections with brands like Sandy Liang and Christopher John Rogers, and now bringing back the Future Collective, an in-house label made with a rotating group of style influencers. This time, the retailer is partnering up on the latter with stylist and Vogue global contributing fashion editor-at-large Gabriella Karefa-Johnson. Over the years, she's become of top influence in the sartorial world, from being captured for her vibrant street style moments to spearheading editorial campaigns that make you remember the joy of getting dressed again. And with this collaboration, the editor is bringing that same essence to shopping with inclusivity in mind.

To collaborate with an expansive retailer like Target is a full-circle moment for the editor. She explains, "I remember I got a Target blouse for my first magazine interview. It was a way I could access fashion within my price point at the time." We all most likely have a memory of buying that affordable blazer or blouse for an interview or event, and this collection is a strong catalyst in making that experience easier and bridging the gap between average consumers and unattainable trends.

With nearly 100 items in total, the collection ranges from XXS to 4X and settles at a price point of $50 and under. Karefa-Johnson and Target have created pieces, from transitional dresses and matching sets to versatile layering pieces, that can easily be mixed and matched to your style preference. Whether your goal is to create a new wardrobe from scratch or simply add a few statement pieces to your rotation, there is an item in this collection for everyone.

The Gabriella Karefa-Johnson x Future Collective is now available to shop online and in-store. See and shop our favorites below.

Associate Fashion Editor
Yusra Siddiqui is an editor who resides in New Jersey but bounces between the suburbs and NYC. (She's a Jersey girl at heart.) After interning at Who What Wear in 2019, she found her way to the team after graduating from LIM College in 2022 with a fashion media degree. She's also spent time writing and working for publications such as Fashionista, Coveteur, and Nylon, but she always knew that Who What Wear was where she was meant to be. When she's on the job, she's perusing runway shows, analyzing the latest thing fellow Gen Zers are up to on the internet, and sharing what she can about the modest-fashion market. You can also catch her dabbling in entertainment, talking about the costume choices of the latest Netflix series or diving deeper into how the plotline affects the viewers in a myriad of ways. Lastly, she likes to create content for Who What Wear's TikTok. Her personal time is spent doing similar but also different things—deep diving into almost every new TV show (Bridgerton, Gilmore Girls, and Stranger Things are favorites), planning her next local getaway (whenever that may be), and reading the latest Emily Henry or Sally Rooney novel in one sitting.
