The $15 Nordstrom Item I Ran Directly Home to Buy After Tory Burch's NYFW Show
For the second season running, Tory Burch's New York Fashion Week show has been one of if not *the* most talked-about of all. Burch's S/S 23 collection shocked attendees who thought they knew the Tory Burch look, with its unique color and fabric pairings, unexpected styling, and hyper-elevated overall aesthetic. For F/W 23, the buzz around NYFW was all about whether or not her next offering would live up to the hype created six months prior. And now that we've all had time to ruminate on all 36 looks, the results are in. She not only succeeded in meeting our high expectations; she exceeded them.
Though I could write an entire dissertation about the strength of Burch's fall collection, I've decided to instead keep things short and sweet by zeroing in on one item included in almost every look that had my fellow editors and I heading straight for the Nordstrom app to get in on the trend. If you don't already know, I'm talking about fishnet tights, which Burch styled with flats, heels, and boots throughout the show. Once considered anti-chic in fashion circles, the holy hosiery is officially back in our good graces. And after scrolling through Nordstrom, I found the perfect $15 pair to welcome fishnets back into my wardrobe.
Scroll down to shop the micro-trend, and see how Burch styled it in her latest show.
The $15 tights my co-workers and I are buying from Nordstrom to get the Tory Burch look:
How to get the fishnet-tights look:
For something that's barely visible in the look, the fishnets worn here complete the ensemble, adding a memorable touch that'll send viewers buying—and by viewers, I'm talking about myself (obviously).
Shop fishnet tights:
If you haven't heard of Nude Barre tights, you're missing out. The brand is known for its 12 available shades, which are designed to match a diverse range of skin tones.
I'm a huge fan of the looser weave on these Emilio Cavallini tights.
The entire collection was based on the idea of beauty in imperfection and unexpected twists on traditional ideas about womenswear, so pairing a broken-heel pump with fishnets feels extremely fitting.
Shop fishnet tights:
Everything looks good on Emily Ratajkowski—that's a fact—but these tights are especially great on her, especially when paired with this lingerie-inspired ensemble.
Shop fishnet tights:
Nude tights are so underrated. They provide such a low-key level of cool factor.
If the larger weave above isn't for you, this superfine set from Commando is a great alt.
I can't wait to throw on a pair of fishnet tights every time I wear a midi-length dress or skirt, especially if the outfit on its own is erring on the simple side.
Shop fishnet tights:
These are giving serious balletcore vibes, and I'm 1000% here for it.
