15 Winter 2025 Items Our Editors Are *Actually* Going to Wear
These will sell out fast.
Winter is almost upon us. A grueling five months of snow, schlepping, and lots of layers are on the way, and here at Who What Wear, we want to be prepared (but in style, of course). To do so, the edit team has been paying close attention to the trend forecast for the colder months ahead. We’re not new to winter trends, but as some of the fashion-inclined may know, they tend to change quite often, which is why our team is always on the lookout for what’s emerging.
We’ve been keeping that in mind as we’re shopping for winter. When I asked the team for their latest winter-prep finds, I noticed a few recurring themes among their picks, one of which was texture. From suede to faux fur to corduroy, our editors will be using texture to make their outfits more interesting.
These pieces, compiled by our edit team, are sure to garner compliments and make your winter 2025 look incredibly chic and elegant. Keep scrolling through to discover all the latest trendy items to wear this fall.

"Almost every sweater I've purchased so far this year has been a high V-neck one. They're trend-forward in the subtlest of ways."
Winter is faux-fur jacket season, and this one is at the top of my list.
"Tan corduroys are the winter version of fall's tan jeans trend."
Sierra Mayhew, Fashion Editor
"Come winter, my first priority is always finding a fun coat for nights out—this one might be the best affordable one I've seen in a while."
"My dream splurge this season would have to be a fair isle sweater, they never go out of style."
"Rugby shirts will be so fun to layer with this year, I'd choose a contrasting turtleneck if I wanted to make a statement."
Josephine Hadjiloucas, Assistant Shopping Editor
"From runways to IG reels, fashion people everywhere are embracing the faux-fur coat this winter."
"Parisian women have named cropped-cardigans as a winter 2025 trend, and I agree."
"These Nordstrom under-$100 loafers combine two of my favorite winter trends: the Parisian loafer and mocha brown color."
Nikki Chwatt, Associate Fashion Editor
"I'm stocking up on these brown sheer tights to wear with all of my minidresses and skirts. And, yes, brown tights because they look a lot more sleek than black ones."
"Everyone, including myself, needs a leather pencil skirt this winter. This particular style is one of my favorites because of the textured leather and attached belt."
"Reformation is so good right now. This is one of my latest purchases from the brand, and I'm very happy with it because it adds a vintage touch and can be worn buttoned-up as a top or open as a lightweight jacket."
Ana Escalante, Associate Features Editor
"I'm really loving these rich-looking, wine corduroy pants from Madewell. I haven't seen corduroy in this shade too often, so the minute I saw them, I had to snatch them up."
"Another great Madewell find. I seldom hold onto animal print things (since I feel like they can tend to sour too fast in my closet, lending themselves to look out of style before I even put it on), there's something special about this leopard car coat. I feel like I can actually see myself wearing it, season after season—especially when paired with a simple white turtleneck, black bootcut jeans, and black pointed-toe ankle boots."
"Suede has always been a go-to fall texture but this season, I'm seeing it re-interpreted on double-breasted blazers, olive-colored jackets, and long duster coats, making it feel more relevant and fresh."
